Logitech MX Keypad: A Customizable Control Center for AI Tools

September 14, 2026

Logitech MX Keypad is the new physical control hub designed to manage programming workflows that combine multiple applications and AI agents. The device gives developers greater control over their tools and lets them tailor the workspace as their needs evolve.

Unlike other solutions on the market, MX Keypad offers cross-application and cross-platform compatibility for development tools, along with a wide range of customization options to fit each workflow. This versatility enables centralizing AI tools, complex prompts, and development applications to work more smoothly and without interruptions.

MX Keypad also includes a selection of plugins for GitHub Copilot and Claude Code, developed and tested by the developer community itself.

Today, mastering programming largely depends on developers’ ability to navigate an ever-growing number of AI tools,” says Anatoliy Polyanker, VP and GM of Logitech. “MX Keypad puts a physical control center at users’ fingertips, enabling them to manage their AI workflows faster and more intuitively.”

Collaboration with GitHub and Microsoft

Developed in close collaboration with GitHub, MX Keypad will launch with native GitHub integration, including VS Code and the GitHub Copilot app, and plans to progressively expand its functionality to additional tools.

Additionally, each MX Keypad includes three months of GitHub Copilot Pro+ for free, which can be redeemed via Logi Options+, for both new users and those who already have a subscription.

The best tools for developers are those that don’t get in their way,” notes Martin Woodward, VP of Developer Relations at GitHub. “MX Keypad makes working with GitHub Copilot integrate naturally into the workflow, allowing developers to spend less time navigating between tools and more time creating.”

Designed for total customization

The Logi Actions SDK enables software engineers to quickly create custom tools and integrations. With documentation optimized for AI-powered workflows, programming agents can generate integrations directly from the SDK, turning tasks that once seemed complex into projects that can be completed in a single afternoon.

The community has already created and published plugins for Claude Code and OpenAI Codex in the Logi Marketplace. These integrations allow real-time status checks of agents and control of command-line tools (CLI) directly from the MX Keypad’s physical keys, with compatibility for more than 100 million Logitech devices.
