Amazon has unveiled new tools and services to help sellers on its marketplace grow their businesses, enabling expansion into new countries and simplifying management of sales across multiple channels.
According to data published by the company, sellers active in more than one country earn, on average, 70% more revenue than those who sell in just one country. To help them grow internationally, Amazon has introduced new tools and services that streamline various aspects of expansion, from product listing creation to regulatory compliance, to logistics and inventory management.
Among the innovations announced, Amazon is rolling out tools to simplify product listing creation for stores in different countries, provide guidance on regulatory compliance, and give greater visibility into the supply chain and inventory management. These new features are beginning to roll out and will continue to expand over the coming months, with additional functionality planned for 2027.
Regulatory compliance
The company has also announced new ways to help sellers simplify regulatory compliance. Starting with the toy category, sellers have a single consolidated specification that covers testing, labeling, and packaging requirements for each destination country. A single testing request can satisfy certification requirements for multiple countries at once, while existing certifications are recognized to avoid repeating tests and resubmitting already verified documentation. The first sellers participating in the pilot program have reported cost savings of up to 60% on regulatory compliance. The system will be expanded to electronics and baby products before year’s end and to new categories in 2027.
Another new feature announced by Amazon is the expansion of its Global Warehousing and Distribution (GWD) service to seven new countries by year-end, including Spain, in addition to the United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, and Canada. GWD allows sellers to ship a single production run to an Amazon-managed facility near their factory and reach customers in multiple countries from there, simplifying international inventory management.
With this expansion, a single inbound shipment can cover all eight countries. Sellers will be able to manage a single inventory and have a unified view of where their stock is located, which will be moved to each country as demand arises. In addition, GWD offers storage costs up to 45% lower than U.S. storage and enables restocking inventory to FBA up to five days faster.
Manage sales on Amazon, eBay, Shopify, TikTok, and Walmart from Seller Central
During the event, Amazon also introduced new multichannel selling tools in Seller Central that connect orders, product listings, profitability, and other features across Amazon, eBay, Shopify, TikTok, and Walmart, bringing together in one workspace the management of sellers’ activity across multiple channels.
More than 95% of independent Amazon marketplace sellers sell across multiple channels. With the new tools, sellers can link their eBay, Shopify, TikTok, and Walmart accounts to Seller Central, with more channels planned, and manage from a single place their product listings, orders, and profitability across the different channels.
The new experience allows viewing and managing all orders from one place, regardless of which channel they originate from, and provides a real-time view of how each product performs on each channel. It also includes information on advertising spend, traffic, and sales from connected channels, making it easier for sellers to identify what is working from a single dashboard.
The new tools will roll out gradually to Amazon’s U.S. marketplace sellers over the coming months, at no additional cost. The initial experience will allow connecting accounts of eBay, Shopify, TikTok, and Walmart to Seller Central, importing and linking external listings to Amazon, viewing multi-channel sales and orders, and managing cross-channel logistics.
