Consultia Business Travel opens Spain’s first technology hub focused on business travel, a new space designed to propel in-house technology development, accelerate the integration of artificial intelligence, and cement a smarter, automated, and more connected model for managing corporate travel.
Juan Manuel Baixauli, the company’s CEO and founder, described the center as a turning point in the firm’s strategy. “Innovation has always been in the DNA of Consultia,” he stated. “Today we take a decisive step to lead the transformation of business travel through our own technological development. Our goal is for artificial intelligence to automate processes, anticipate client needs, and allow our teams to focus on advisory, personalized service, and value-driven decision making.”
The launch responds to persistent industry challenges, which are still shaped by fragmented systems and the absence of integrated platforms that can manage corporate travel with unified information and real-time analytics. In this context, Destinux advocates a model that consolidates all information on a single platform, enabling faster, more efficient, data-driven management.
With this initiative, Consultia Business Travel positions its headquarters as the company’s technology core, strengthening a strategy built on in-house development, scalability, and continuous innovation. The ecosystem is complemented by projects such as the Consultia Business Travel Chair at the University of Valencia, focused on research and training in professional mobility, and Destinux Day, a conference that brings together companies and experts to examine the future of corporate travel.
The technology center also epitomizes Consultia Business Travel’s adaptability. Following the DANA storm, the company undertook a comprehensive remodel of its Sedaví facilities in Valencia, reinforcing its commitment to growth and innovation from the same location. This project reinforces Consultia’s pledge to the Valencian Community, contributing to its emergence as one of Spain’s leading technology hubs.
Ignacio González, the company’s managing director, emphasized that the new infrastructure will accelerate the evolution of Destinux by incorporating advanced capabilities that enhance the client experience. “We are betting on a smarter, connected, data-oriented platform that can deliver comprehensive management and provide strategic information to support decision-making,” he said.
The new center will serve as the primary engine of Destinux’s development, the technology platform that underpins Consultia Business Travel. From this hub, the company plans to roll out AI-powered features designed to optimize processes, automate routine tasks, and improve efficiency in managing corporate travel. The overarching objective is to offer businesses an increasingly integrated, agile solution capable of meeting the evolving demands of professional mobility.
