Startup Olé Returns to Marbella on June 17–18

The third edition of Startup Olé Marbella will take place on June 17 and 18 at the Marbella Conference and Exhibition Palace. This edition is supported by public institutions such as the Marbella City Council and the Junta de Andalucía, establishing it as a key gathering to boost technological entrepreneurship and the international projection of the innovative ecosystem. It also features the collaboration of Impulsa Visión RTVE, the City of Salamanca, the University of Salamanca and corporations such as Spaincap, Women Invest in Women, Relais de Paris, By Muy Antonella and Enagás, among others.

Notably, the participation of renowned unicorns such as Angry Birds and BlaBlaCar will take place, along with the collaboration of major associations such as LPA; APYMEM, the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises of Marella; APYMEHAVÍS, the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises of Benahavís; APYMESPA, the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises of San Pedro de Alcántara and REM, Marbella and Campo de Gibraltar Entrepreneurs Network.

Moreover, at the launch event, speakers have confirmed their participation, including Ángeles Muñoz, Mayor of Marbella; Javier González Navarro, General Director of Promotion of Entrepreneurship and Continuing Education of the Junta de Andalucía; Andreas Mihalovits, cofounder of Global Super Angels Club; Jere Erkko, creator of Angry Birds; Isabel Carraso, President of REM; Christian Rasmusson, CEO The Pool Marbella; Álvaro Botella, President of LPA; and Alejandro Freijo, Director of Employment of the Marbella City Council.

This is a conference dedicated to advancing entrepreneurship and technological innovation to be held in this Costa del Sol city. The initiative aims to foster the connection between the international entrepreneurial ecosystem present in the region and the national innovation landscape, encouraging investment, the development of new startups, and the establishment of strategic global partnerships. Marbella, known for its attractive setting, cultural offerings, and high quality of life, thus solidifies itself as an increasingly important meeting point for entrepreneurs and investors from various countries. In this edition, the program will place special emphasis on current technology fields such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and technology-oriented sectors, as well as the real estate, tourism, sustainability, mobility, and health sectors.

The program will include talks, practical workshops, and a hackathon focused on improving Marbella’s digital experience, strengthening a more innovative and resilient business ecosystem, and advancing toward a model of a smart, connected, and reliable city.

The event will bring together more than 350 high-level speakers and over 200 companies who will share specialized content through roundtables, plenary sessions, and training workshops. It will also feature other notable activities such as a startup fair, pitch competitions, investor meetings, and various networking opportunities, including professional cocktails, cultural offerings, and exclusive experiences organized by partner companies.

In Marbella, Startup OLÉ will tailor its approach to the unique characteristics of the local environment, fostering the connection between northern and central European startup ecosystems and Spain’s innovative fabric, in coordination with initiatives led at the national, regional, and municipal levels.
