Qonto MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a new solution that enables managing company accounts directly from Claude, ChatGPT and any AI assistant compatible with MCP in the eight markets where it operates.
As of today, Qonto customers can check balances, manage invoices (from creation to completion, including filtering, editing, marking as paid or emailing directly to clients), manage team access, control cards, and carry out financial operations directly from the AI assistant they already use without having to switch apps.
AI assistants are rapidly becoming the primary work environment for many founders and professionals. Gartner estimates that the use of traditional search engines will fall by 25% in 2026 due to the rise of AI-based interfaces, while AI-generated web traffic has already climbed 76% year over year. Qonto MCP responds directly to this shift by natively integrating Qonto’s business account into the AI assistants that more and more entrepreneurs rely on.
How the connection works
The connection to Qonto MCP is made in three steps: users access mcp.qonto.com, sign in with their own Qonto credentials and immediately begin querying information about their account or performing actions using natural language, such as “Show me my last ten transactions,” “Create a draft payment link for €850,” or “Which clients have overdue invoices?”
Each user signs in with their own credentials and their permissions automatically reflect the role assigned to them in Qonto. All actions are recorded in a full audit trail, and any operation that involves changes—such as creating a draft invoice, blocking a card, or inviting a new employee or advisor—requires explicit confirmation.
“The question is no longer how to improve your product, but whether you are present where your users actually work. The launch of Qonto MCP isn’t a simple feature update, but a shift in product thinking. Finances should help entrepreneurs move forward, not become an obstacle,” says Sophie Cornay, Business Unit Manager of AI Lab at Qonto. “Before we published a single line of official code, a community developer had already created their own version and 380 people had installed it without any promotion. It’s the clearest signal of product-market fit I’ve ever seen.”
This launch follows the introduction of Qonto’s first two AI agents, The Operator and The Analyst, integrated directly into the platform. Qonto MCP takes this initiative one step further: it moves beyond the Qonto environment to accompany customers in the AI tools they already use on a daily basis.
