Primafrio Expands Logistics Capacity with Multi-Temperature Storage Solutions

October 19, 2026

The logistics operator Grupo Primafrio leveraged the recent Fruit Attraction trade show to present the evolution of its logistics capacity and, especially, the development of new multi-temperature storage solutions, with spaces adapted to refrigerated, frozen, and ambient goods.

New storage capacities tailored to each type of merchandise

The company has added storage capabilities designed as a complement to its primary transportation activity. This new service adds to other value-added solutions it provides to its customers, such as customs management or integrated logistics management, enabling support for users at the different stages of the supply chain.

The multi-temperature storage allows managing products under different storage conditions, with refrigerated, frozen, and ambient temperature solutions adapted to the characteristics of each merchandise and to the specific requirements of each client. A proposal that combines infrastructure, technology, know-how, and professional equipment ready to respond swiftly to operations with increasingly diverse needs.

The scale of Grupo Primafrio’s logistics network enables this capacity. Collectively, the company has more than 1.5 million m² of logistical space, of which nearly 100,000 m² correspond to its own refrigerated warehouses and almost 40,000 m² to ambient-temperature storage spaces.

Moreover, storage for frozen products will be progressively added. The new locations envisage spaces dedicated to frozen goods, areas in development that will allow expanding the available solutions and meeting new storage and conservation needs.

Own technology for more efficient management

The expansion of logistics services is accompanied by the development of proprietary technological tools. Primafrio has a Warehouse Management System (WMS) developed by its own Systems department to meet the needs of its operations. This tool allows monitoring, coordinating, and optimizing the movements and processes that take place in warehouses, improving the traceability of goods, facilitating the adaptation of each operation to the client’s requirements, and contributing to more efficient resource management.

This efficiency is one of the guiding principles behind the Group’s evolution. The adoption of in-house technology, process optimization, and the development of increasingly efficient infrastructures allow progress in reducing the environmental impact of the activity and reinforce the company’s commitment to a more sustainable model.

The expansion of storage capacity represents another step in Primafrio’s service evolution. Thus, the company continues developing complementary solutions that enable it to deliver greater value and respond comprehensively to different supply chain needs.

In this way, Grupo Primafrio reinforces a value proposition based on combining transport, storage, customs management, integrated logistics management, and other specialized services, supported by a European-scale network of logistics infrastructures, a multi-energy fleet exceeding 3,200 vehicles, proprietary technology, specialized equipment, and deep sector knowledge.
