Pan Milagros Uses SAP S/4HANA to Drive Growth

July 6, 2026

Pan Milagros, a family-owned Spanish company specializing in industrial bakery, has evolved its technology platform to SAP S/4HANA to prepare its operations for a new growth phase.

With revenue near €80 million and a workforce of around 250 employees, the company, which has more than a century of history, faced a pivotal moment in its business evolution: it needed a platform capable of supporting future growth, reinforcing granular traceability in a demanding sector like food, and improving real-time analytics and decision-making capabilities.

Pan Milagros had been an SAP ECC user since 2015, a solution that had provided robustness and stability for years, but was starting to fall short of the new business needs. The company’s evolution demanded greater operational agility, real-time information access, mobility, and a technology architecture prepared to incorporate new capabilities in the future.

Partner and Platform Used

For this project, the company again entrusted Altim, responsible for the previous deployment and with whom it had built a solid relationship due to its extensive SAP expertise and commitment to meeting deadlines.

On the technology platform they chose SAP S/4HANA to maintain robustness while delivering a more agile, scalable environment prepared for the future. The project also included the SAP HANA database, which significantly improved data and transaction processing speed, enabling real-time access to information and a faster and more efficient decision-making; as well as the SAP Fiori user experience layer, which has introduced mobility so that the leadership team can consult key information on production, manufacturing, or stock from any device and react more quickly to any incident or operational need.

The migration has also strengthened batch traceability, a critical aspect in the food industry, and has contributed to automating processes, reducing operating costs, freeing resources, and improving the overall efficiency of the operation.

The migration to SAP S/4HANA has been a key strategic step for Pan Milagros. Thanks to the collaboration with Altim and SAP, we have carried out this transformation smoothly, meeting deadlines and with minimal impact on the business. Today we have an advanced, scalable, and secure solution that improves the efficiency of our processes and positions us with a competitive edge,” said Enrique García, CEO of Pan Milagros.

For Irene Sagre, Head of Corporate Spain at SAP: “It is a pride to accompany Spanish companies through their evolution and growth processes. At SAP we work to provide organizations with a solid, flexible technology foundation prepared for the future, enabling agility, driving innovation, and confidently addressing the next challenges of their business.”

According to Antonio Espejo, Account Manager at Altim: “The project was delivered on time and in scope, and its production deployment was executed over a weekend, with no impact on the company’s daily operations: continuity of industrial activity was maintained, with no incidents or outages recorded, a matter particularly critical for a company with daily production across its plants, which was possible thanks to the involvement of Pan Milagros’ leadership and Altim, working together as a single, integrated team in every member.”

Now, Pan Milagros has the assurance of a solid and scalable platform prepared to support its growth in the coming years and to facilitate the incorporation of new technologies as business needs evolve.
