Canon EOS C50 Cinema Camera

August 25, 2026

The Canon EOS C50 is a professional hybrid Cinema EOS camera, ultra-compact and ergonomic, with an RF mount, full-frame sensor, and tremendous versatility, designed for both professional and aspiring videographers. Powerful, agile, and ready for solo shoots or crewed productions, it’s perfect for weddings, events, short films, documentaries, and web content.

Full-Frame 7K Cinema Recording

This camera delivers stunning 7K imagery using Canon’s full-frame CMOS sensor, a dual-base ISO of 800 and 6400, and more than 15 stops of dynamic range. It also allows 32 MP stills at up to 40 fps with ISO up to 64,000, and enjoys oversampled 4K with rich, natural color reproduction.

Full-frame Sensor for Maximum Flexibility

Thanks to the integration of 12‑bit RAW Open Gate at 6960 × 4640 in 3:2, using the full sensor surface, filmmakers can create panoramic, vertical, or anamorphic images with impressive detail. It easily switches between Full Frame, Super 35, and Super 16 modes, allowing you to edit with full freedom from the same footage.

Leverage the Power of the RF Mount

Its design lets you take full advantage of the potential and versatility of the RF mount, compatible with a wide range of prime, zoom, hybrid, and cinema lenses that provide real-time metadata and fast AF/IS. Additionally, via Canon mount adapters, you can achieve seamless PL/EF lens integration.

Sharp, Fast, and Reliable Autofocus

Videographers and photographers alike will benefit from the ultra-precise Dual Pixel CMOS AF II autofocus system with improved subject tracking for faces, eyes, and animals across 100% of the sensor. In addition, EOS iTR AF X, Face Detection, Focus Guide, and customizable speed settings help maintain sharpness and better prepare the shot.
