Brother Launches A4-Sized Inkjet Printers for Small Offices

August 4, 2026

Brother has launched a new generation of A4 inkjet printers. The new models -MFC-J5110DW and MFC-J5010DW- are aimed at small offices and home offices that require steady operation and a full set of print, scan, copy, and fax capabilities. The company expands its Business Smart line with a major advancement in the category by introducing MAXIDRIVE technology in A4 devices for the first time.

The key differentiator of this new printer family is the MAXIDRIVE print chip, patented by Brother, which uses piezoelectric technology to deliver ink with precision and high power, enabling fast printing with the greatest uniformity and quality. In addition, it features integrated advanced maintenance functions that actively monitor ink delivery to prevent drying, avert nozzle blockages, and eliminate air bubbles, with the aim of maintaining a stable and constant flow to ensure the device performs at peak efficiency.

The new models bring together a set of features and performance capabilities designed for demanding small offices that require reliable printing, scanning, copying, and faxing. Automatic duplex printing and scanning help streamline daily tasks, while high-capacity paper trays help reduce interruptions and enable more efficient work. The lineup also adds a color touchscreen to simplify operation during peak activity and several connectivity options that ease integration into modern workspaces.

Two new models

Brother has structured the new family around the MFC-J5110DW and MFC-J5010DW models. The former includes two 250-sheet paper trays, a 100-sheet multipurpose tray, a larger touchscreen, and an Automatic Document Feeder. The MFC-J5010DW offers a 250-sheet paper tray, touchscreen, and a manual feed tray.

On the technical front, the new series offers a first-page-out time of up to 4.5 seconds, print speeds of up to 28 pages per minute and duplex scanning of up to 30 images per minute. It also incorporates dual-band 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi‑Fi, Gigabit Ethernet and USB and allows printing directly from or scanning to a PC, a mobile app and a USB device. The lineup is compatible with the Brother Mobile Connect app and the EcoPro ink and toner subscription service.

Device and consumables durability

Durability is another pillar of the launch. Brother notes that the premium pigment-based ink cartridges of the new range guarantee professional-quality output, while the super high-capacity cartridges allow up to 6,000 pages in black and white and 5,000 in color. This enables small offices with heavy workloads to reduce how often consumables need replacing and to boost efficiency. The company adds that this durability isn’t limited to the cartridges and extends to the device’s core design itself, thanks to the combination of MAXIDRIVE print-chip technology and the advanced maintenance system.

These new printers offer capabilities you wouldn’t expect in a small-office device, with performance standards not typically seen in an inkjet and technology that keeps the printers self-managing, delivering a reliable and consistent user experience,” says José Ramón Sanz, Product Marketing Manager at Brother Iberia. “This new line for small offices proves that when we talk about inkjet, we mean business. Once again we’ve pushed the boundaries of quality, durability, and speed, delivering to small offices devices you can trust.”

Sustainability also sits at the core of this lineup’s design. The ink cartridges have been designed for remanufacture and can be returned to the company at no charge to maximize reuse. Additionally, the devices incorporate roughly 30% recycled plastics (in the MFC-J5110DW model).
