Two Andalusian advisory firms and one Catalan firm have been recognized for their communication skills, their comprehensive advisory model, and their commitment to digitalization, during the Cegid Despachos Awards ceremony held at Accounting Day Seville (Seville, Spain).
During the event, attendees learned from sector experts about the real impact of artificial intelligence on their daily work and shared analyses on the changes the sector is undergoing, including the uncertainty caused by delays in invoicing regulations among their clients. The event also dedicated a space to the common challenges faced by Andalusian advisory firms, with concrete examples and situations.
The program also included the roundtable “Verifactu, Electronic Invoicing and Digital Control: Threat or Opportunity?” in which the speakers agreed that the firm has become the “coach” of the new entrepreneur, guiding them in an increasingly regulated and competitive environment. “If the client sends digitized invoices to your firm, it’s easier to perform reviews and work better for everyone,” said Agustín Jarén, heading Asesoría Jarén. In the same vein, Álvaro García Fernández, Product Marketing Manager at Cegid, stressed that today “only 10% of the advisor’s time reaches the client as real value-added advisory,” and he forecast that “the advisor of the future will not simply crunch data: they will interpret, anticipate, and transform their clients’ business.”
Contribution to Transforming the Accounting and Advisory Sector
The awards recognized the work performed by the honored firms, which are helping to transform the sector through closer communication with their clients, comprehensive advisory, and the incorporation of digital tools into their daily activities.
The Advisory Firm of the Year: Best Communicator went to Agustín Jarén, for the dissemination of high-quality content on both social media and sector events, which helps raise awareness about advisory services and provides relevant information to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and freelancers. “There are two things I’m passionate about: the first is speaking in front of a camera, and the second is Vocational Training. Social networks have made this much easier for me in that regard. Our goal is to provide valuable information without it feeling like you’re being lectured by an IRS auditor,” explains Jarén, who defends humor as “the only way to reach everyone when talking about taxes and highlights how rewarding it is to pass on his experience to new generations.
The 360° Advisory Award, which distinguishes the advisory firm that has implemented the most functionalities in its ERP and practice, went to Aguilera & Pérez Consulting. “We like to work with the Kaizen philosophy: trying to improve every day, even if only a little. Technology and automation help us be more efficient and, above all, devote more time to advising and delivering value to our clients,” say the firm.
For its part, YOU Asesoría received the Digital Ambassador Advisory Award, which recognizes the advisor who has led the digital transformation of the most clients, driving digital processes that have changed their way of working. “This award is a recognition of a commitment that has been part of our DNA since the beginning: using technology to offer a service that is increasingly agile, efficient, and close. This has allowed us to automate and optimize many of our processes, freeing up time for what’s truly important: advising, guiding, and delivering value to our clients,” explain the advisory firm.
This type of recognition arises with the aim of highlighting the work of advisory and professional firms that daily support freelancers, small businesses, and entrepreneurs. In addition to helping them meet their administrative, tax, and accounting obligations, these professionals play a vital role in decision-making and in the sustainability of businesses.
“With these awards we want to recognize the firms that are transforming their work from very different realities, but with a single shared goal: to offer a service that is closer, more efficient, and more useful to their clients. Advisory firms are an essential ally for freelancers and small businesses, and at Cegid we want to support them with technology, knowledge, and spaces where they can share experiences and continue evolving,” says Fermín Lozano, Director of Cegid’s Professional Desks and Advisory Business Unit, the event’s organizer.
