Madrid Emprende’s Accelerator Programs Offer Sector-Specific Tracks

September 24, 2026

Grow faster, make smarter strategic decisions, and connect with the right people at the right time. With that goal in mind, Madrid Emprende’s Acceleration Programs—a initiative that has already propelled more than 600 innovative companies—return this year with a significant new feature: sector- and industry-specific tracks designed to offer even more tailored support that matches the real needs of each startup.

The application window will remain open through October 16, and the programs will kick off in the first week of November.

The Madrid Emprende Acceleration Programs, which are announced once a year, are aimed at established companies that have at least a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), preferably in the seed stage or later, with technology-based business ventures and/or innovative components, as well as those that, in addition to pursuing economic value, demonstrate a clear commitment to generating positive impact. The program will consider the presence of ambitious, scalable teams and the international orientation of the participating companies.

Through a completely free program, the selected startups will receive six months of specialized support to define and execute their growth strategy, improve their business model, and advance toward more scalable projects.

The in-person portion of the programs will take place at six general-purpose business incubators within the municipal network, each focused on a specific area of activity:

  • CreativeTech and the creative economy, to be developed at the Carabanchel incubator.
  • B2B AI in business processes, at the Moratalaz incubator.
  • Impact economy focused on wellbeing, at the Puente de Vallecas incubator.
  • Fintech: digital banking, payments, insurance, and financing, at the San Blas incubator.
  • Digital transformation, smart cities, and city-life tech, at the Vicálvaro incubator.
  • Energy, Cleantech, and Sustainability, at the Villaverde incubator.

This specialization aligns with the City of Madrid’s commitment to boost innovative startups that develop solutions in strategic sectors to propel the city’s future and its economy. In this way, the municipal incubators not only provide a space for business support but also establish themselves as specialized hubs capable of connecting projects that share challenges, markets, and opportunities. Sectorization will also promote knowledge exchange, collaboration among companies, and the creation of business communities tied to each field.

A six-month personalized itinerary

During the six-month duration of the programs, the selected companies will have a tailored acceleration path combining a strategic diagnosis, mentorship from industry experts, and individualized advisory with training and hands-on workshops.

Each program will address key growth areas for a startup, including commercial strategy, management and protection of innovation, the company’s finances and economics and its scalability, in addition to providing support in securing funding and opportunities to connect with the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Participants will also have access to coworking spaces within the municipal network of incubators during the program, as well as networking activities that will facilitate contact with other entrepreneurs, companies, and ecosystem actors.

As a culmination of the itineraries, startups will have the opportunity to present the progress of their projects at a Demo Day before investors and strategic stakeholders in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, promoting new opportunities for funding, collaboration, and growth.
