DOIY Design Saves Time in Order Management After Migrating to Sage 200 On-Premise

September 23, 2026

When a company manages more than 2,000 customers and synchronizes stock, prices, and orders daily across multiple platforms, any ERP limitation becomes a brake on the business. This was the situation for DOIY Design, which resolved that bottleneck by migrating Sage 200 to an on-premises environment on Microsoft Azure in collaboration with Opentix.

DOIY Design, a Barcelona-based brand, has established itself as an international benchmark in the design of home décor and gift items. After years working with Sage 200 in the cloud, the solution no longer met the volume or the complexity of their operations, so they decided to make a change.

“We wanted a system that not only resolved our current limitations but also allowed us to grow and adapt to new processes over time,” explains Jaime Monfort, co-founder of DOIY Design. The new software, therefore, also had to enable them to automatically synchronize stock data, prices, and other relevant information with third-party tools.

Migration to Sage 200

After assessing the business needs, the Opentix team proposed a hybrid solution: migrate their Sage 200 from the cloud to a Sage 200 on-premises and deploy it on Microsoft Azure. This would give DOIY Design control and customization capabilities of a local environment, but without sacrificing the scalability, security, and availability offered by Microsoft’s cloud.

Additionally, at the time of the decision it was noted that Sage’s ERP enables integration with key tools for DOIY Design’s operations, such as CatalogPlayer, used for pre-sales and the commercial catalog, and other e-commerce platforms to facilitate a connected and automated workflow.

“We maintain rigorous stock control and are very demanding about delivery timelines for our customers’ orders. It was crucial for us to keep fulfilling orders efficiently and transparently, and with Opentix and Sage 200 we had no problem ensuring that,” says Jaime Monfort.

The project’s result has been the complete transformation of the Barcelona-based brand’s operating processes, especially in critical areas such as order management and stock control.

For example, thanks to the automations of Sage 200 they have reduced by 25% the time spent on manual order entry and decreased by around 30% the time spent on data analysis and accounting reporting. They have also improved system integration and data quality, and increased the ERP’s customization capabilities.

“The integration of Microsoft Azure has been key to unlocking the full potential of Sage 200, enabling us to tailor the system to our needs without the limitations we had before with the cloud environment,” notes Monfort.

More than a technological migration, the project has marked a pace change in DOIY Design’s operations. With a faster, more integrated, and customizable ERP, the company is entering its next growth phase with a technological foundation capable of scaling in step with its business.
