Osapiens Unicorn Acquires Nasdaq Metrio Platform and Its Client Portfolio

August 21, 2026

The AI platform, osapiens, has completed the acquisition of the Nasdaq Metrio platform —a comprehensive software solution for non-financial reporting and carbon accounting— and its client portfolio.

Non-financial reporting and carbon accounting are core elements of the osapiens HUB, offered through its disclosure and reporting solutions and carbon accounting. The Nasdaq Metrio platform brings consolidated capabilities in both areas—the preparation and disclosure of enterprise-level non-financial reporting, as well as carbon accounting—with broad coverage of the regulatory frameworks under which companies currently report information: from California’s climate disclosure laws to CDP and GRI, including IFRS and SASB standards. Moreover, its data management with audit-grade standards ensures that the disclosed information continues to comply with regulations in an ever-evolving regulatory environment.

Expand US Presence

For osapiens, the acquisition of the Nasdaq Metrio platform and its client portfolio expands its footprint in the United States and brings these clients into the osapiens HUB, where data can be collected once and reused for various regulatory compliance requirements, supply chain regulations, and carbon accounting initiatives. The AI-driven application across the platform will boost automation, reduce manual work, and improve operational efficiency.

These capabilities go beyond non-financial reporting and also include product compliance, supplier intelligence, and traceability. Collectively, they will generate additional synergies, such as higher supplier response rates, reduced duplicate data collection, and substantial efficiency gains in managing supply chain and regulatory compliance data.

Very few acquisitions fit so precisely. More than 2,500 customers already manage and automate their regulatory compliance processes and use the osapiens HUB for supplier intelligence, with non-financial reporting and carbon accounting integrated centrally. With the acquisition of the Nasdaq Metrio platform and its client portfolio, we can now further expand our capabilities to deliver even greater value to our customers. At the same time, this transaction enables us to accelerate our entry into the American market,” says Matthias Jungblut, Co-CEO, osapiens.

osapiens recently achieved unicorn status after a funding round led by Decarbonization Partners, a joint venture of BlackRock and Temasek, and also counts Goldman Sachs among its backers. Nasdaq Metrio has a strong presence in North America, where most of its corporate clients are located. The acquisition gives osapiens a consolidated client base and local reference customers in a market where the company is already investing, further strengthening its leadership position in the market.

Nasdaq Metrio has established itself as a leader in North American non-financial reporting and carbon accounting. With osapiens, we have found a partner for Nasdaq Metrio that will ensure customers continue to rely on a platform with the strategic focus and comprehensive capabilities necessary to meet their needs, today and in the future. This transaction will allow Nasdaq to focus on delivering to our corporate and listed clients solutions where we have unique expertise in Investor Relations and Governance to support the experience of listed companies,” says Michael Bartels, SVP of Capital Access Platforms at Nasdaq.
