SonicWall Endpoint Security Strengthens Protection for SMBs

August 21, 2026

SonicWall Endpoint Security is the company’s new unified endpoint security solution, developed specifically for managed service providers (MSPs) that protect small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). The new platform enables MSPs to offer advanced detection and response (EDR) capabilities as a standalone solution or to incorporate a managed detection and response (MDR) service operated entirely by SonicSentry’s security operations center.

SonicWall Endpoint Security integrates advanced threat protection, automated response and ransomware recovery with a single click on a single platform. The solution also includes SonicWall’s patented Real-Time Deep Memory Inspection (RTDMI) engine, designed to identify and block advanced threats in real time.

A Growing Need for MSPs and SMBs

The launch arrives in a context where SMBs are increasingly exposed to cyberattacks, while MSPs must provide a high level of protection without disproportionately increasing their operating costs. It is estimated that one in three SMBs will suffer a cyberattack, while 60% of MSPs that experience a security breach never fully recover.

Despite this reality, many endpoint security solutions targeted at the SMB segment are simplified versions of enterprise platforms, with limited capabilities to detect and respond to sophisticated attacks. SonicWall Endpoint Security is built to fill this gap and put advanced protection technology within reach of MSPs without the complexity traditionally associated with enterprise-grade solutions.

MSPs shouldn’t have to choose between enterprise-grade protection and maintaining healthy margins,” says Chandro Prasad, SonicWall’s head of product. “SonicWall Endpoint Security ends that trade-off. It gives MSPs and their customers the same detection and response technology trusted by large enterprises, embedded in a platform that’s easy to deploy and manage, and priced to fit real budgets.”

Advanced protection on a platform designed for MSPs

SonicWall Endpoint Security brings together next-generation antivirus (NGAV) and EDR in a single lightweight agent, managed from a centralized, multi-tenant console. This way, MSPs can manage multiple environments and clients from one platform, simplifying security operations.

Key capabilities include:

  1. Advanced threat prevention: combines behavior-based heuristics, the patented RTDMI technology and automated responses based on history (STAR) to improve threat detection and response.
  2. Verified protection: SonicWall Endpoint Security is listed on Virus Bulletin’s VB100 list.
Ransomware recovery: the one-click rollback feature allows you to restore affected endpoints to a known safe state in minutes.
  3. Simplified management and integration: includes device control and facilitates integration with SIEM tools and incident management systems, helping MSPs centralize and streamline operations.

SonicSentry: 24/7 Managed Security

For MSPs and partners who don’t have their own security team, SonicWall offers MDR for Endpoint Security, a fully managed service delivered through SonicSentry.

The SonicWall SOC operates 24/7/365, taking on tasks such as deployment, threat detection, incident response and policy management. This enables MSPs to provide continuous protection and access to specialist expertise without needing to hire additional analysts or bear the costs and complexity of running their own SOC.

The offering has already been evaluated by Firewalls.com, an MSP that participated in the SonicWall Endpoint Security beta program and decided to adopt the platform to protect its own environment.

The deployment was smooth, management intuitive, and the preconfigured policies allowed us to deliver effective protection right from day one,” says Johnny S. Casiano III, Director of Professional Services at Firewalls.com. “We thoroughly evaluated the platform through the beta program, and there’s no better endorsement than trusting the same technology to protect our own business as we confidently recommend to our clients.”

The solution is available in three tiers, designed to fit different MSP needs and service models and pricing:

  1. Endpoint Security Advanced: provides core NGAV and EDR protection capabilities.
  2. Endpoint Security Premier: includes the Advanced features and adds greater telemetry data retention to enable more detailed investigations and forensic analysis.
  3. MDR for Endpoint Security: adds SonicSentry’s managed service, with continuous monitoring, managed threat detection and response, and policy management based on best practices.
