GSE Iberia and Elis recently inaugurated the company’s new facility in Illescas, Toledo, Spain, a project that reinforces Elis’s commitment to growth in Spain and positions Illescas as one of the country’s leading logistics and industrial hubs.
The new facility has been developed by GSE Iberia under the Design-Build model in just nine months and will enable Elis to continue advancing its sustainable growth strategy and its commitment to being close to customers.
Strategic Context
Located in a strategic setting due to its logistics connectivity and proximity to Madrid, the plant has been designed to respond to the company’s operational needs, incorporating energy efficiency, functionality, and sustainability criteria. The project, designed under strict circular economy principles, sits within the growing demand for modern industrial facilities capable of combining productivity, operational flexibility, and reduced environmental impact.
GSE Iberia emphasizes that this project reflects the company’s ability to develop industrial assets tailored to each client’s specific needs, supporting them through all stages of the construction process.
“This inauguration represents another example of how collaboration between client and industrial partner enables the development of efficient, sustainable projects that are prepared to meet current and future operational challenges.,” says Javier Bartolomé, Country Manager of GSE Iberia.
Furthermore, the project lead at GSE Iberia, Mathieu Hamm, noted: “The key to this project has been integrating the technical process from design and coordinating the construction work in parallel with the installation, accelerating the commissioning of a functional and precise plant.”
For Elis, the new plant marks an important milestone within its growth and consolidation strategy in Spain, reinforcing its service capability and its commitment to innovation and sustainability.
With this new facility, both companies reinforce their commitment to developing state-of-the-art industrial infrastructure in Spain, in a context shaped by the transformation of logistical and industrial processes and the growing need for assets that are more efficient and sustainable.
