Since 2020, the year the world shut down and led to the consolidation of remote work, companies have been accelerating their digitalization across diverse areas such as operations, analytics, and talent management. According to Spain’s National Statistics Institute (INE), in 2025 67.4% of employees in companies with 10 or more workers had internet access for business purposes, and 69.7% for social media. However, internal communication within teams of the same company remains, in many cases, an ongoing challenge.
Despite the importance it holds for team coordination and productivity, it is common for employees and managers to rely on personal messaging apps to manage shifts, resolve incidents, or share key information.
This practice, although fast and convenient, poses significant risks for the company and its employees, as it not only blurs the boundary between personal and professional life, but also the use of non-corporate tools can compromise information security and hinder compliance with regulations such as the GDPR.
Centralizing communication in corporate environments designed for this purpose can significantly improve daily coordination among teams. Having organized channels, shifts, or tasks makes it easier for each employee to access the relevant information at the right moment. Moreover, being able to share documents, images, or notifications in a single space streamlines processes, boosts productivity, improves team coordination, and reduces reliance on external tools.
Improving Team Well-Being
Another key benefit of this type of solution is the improvement of the workplace climate and employee well-being. More organized and accessible communication fosters transparency and strengthens the relationship between teams and managers. The inclusion of features such as surveys or real-time feedback also enables organizations to actively listen to their employees and make more informed decisions.
But perhaps one of the most relevant aspects is its impact on work-life balance. By integrating professional communication within the work environment, the intrusion of personal channels is avoided and rest time is respected. This clear separation between work and personal life contributes to improving employees’ quality of life and to fostering a more sustainable organizational culture.
Likewise, security and data protection become central elements. Having a controlled environment, with access to the history of communications and clear policies for sharing, ensures that corporate information is managed properly and in accordance with current regulations.
Therefore, moving toward more structured, secure, and operations-aligned communication models is not only a technological issue, but an organizational decision. It means committing to a more orderly, more transparent, and ultimately more humane organization.
