PTx vConnect | Drive: Precision Electric Control for Farmers

May 11, 2026

PTx has launched vConnect | Drive, their latest solution to modernize seed planters by replacing mechanical transmission systems with a high-performance electric control system. Designed to integrate directly with the ISOBUS screens already in the cab, this technology simplifies planter management and improves seed distribution accuracy.

With this new solution, farmers can do away with the complex mechanical systems consisting of chains and drive shafts that typically require regular maintenance and have operational limitations,” says Ignacio Rossi, PTx Regional Manager for the EMEA region. “Additionally, vConnect | Drive enables the transition to electric motors vDrive and the distribution systems vSet, offering a simpler, more reliable, and low-maintenance system.”

Optimized Seed Distribution Precision

When combined with the ISOBUS Universal Terminal, vConnect | Drive can achieve seed distribution accuracy of up to 99%. The vDrive and vSet units guarantee a constant and reliable seed supply, with individual row-by-row control and application rate. This configuration ensures uniform crop establishment and contributes to improved agricultural performance.

Discs tailored for each crop, combined with a floating selector, guarantee precise seed distribution across a wide range of crops, maintaining consistent field performance.

With this solution, all planter functions can be controlled directly from the tractor display:

  • Individual row-by-row control
  • Section control to prevent overlaps
  • Row-by-row dosing
  • Curve compensation, improving sowing uniformity under any field condition
  • This integration reduces the space required in the cab and eliminates the need for additional screens.

It is worth noting that every farming operation has a unique combination of equipment. Thanks to the flexibility of the ISOBUS standard and Precision Planting’s modular design, vConnect | Drive easily integrates with the tools and devices farmers already use. Updates are simplified, enabling farmers to improve planter performance without having to replace the entire system.
