The City of Madrid, through Madrid Emprende, has launched the Madrid Impacta Award 2026, with the application window staying open until May 20 at 11:59 PM. Applications may be submitted electronically or in person at the city’s registry offices. These awards aim to economically and strategically support entrepreneurial projects with a positive impact that address pressing societal challenges and provide solutions that contribute to improving quality of life, sustainability, and competitiveness.
In this tenth edition, the City will grant three main prizes. The Madrid Impacta 2026 first prize will include a financial contribution of €12,000, followed by the second prize with €6,500, and the third prize, which will include €4,000. Alongside these recognitions, 11 accésits, each with a grant of €2,500, will be awarded to highlight projects in various categories: Madrid project; Madrid City entrepreneurship and innovation centers; best elevator pitch; greatest growth potential and projection; environmental impact; universal accessibility of cities; clean energy; scientific-technological field; health and well-being; education and care for dependency.
In the words of the councilor for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Ángel Niño, “these awards value ideas and entrepreneurship projects oriented, in particular, toward those who need them most.”
“When entrepreneurship serves social challenges, its impact multiplies,” he noted, pointing out that the Madrid Impacta Awards are an investment in Madrid’s future—a Madrid where talent and the improvement of citizens’ quality of life go hand in hand.
