Zyxel Networks Launches GS1915v2 Switch Series for SMBs

November 3, 2026

Zyxel Networks has launched its line of intelligently managed Gigabit switches, the GS1915v2 series, designed to simplify the setup and management of networks for small businesses and for the partners that support them.

Small offices, stores, coffee shops, or clinics rarely have rooms dedicated to networks. It’s common for switches to be installed under counters, in storage areas, or in auxiliary offices, where access to power, ventilation, and mounting space is limited. In some cases, even adding a single device may require additional work in the facilities. With its nine models offering different port configurations, power options and fiber uplinks, the GS1915v2 series gives these companies greater flexibility to integrate the network into the spaces they already have.

“Small businesses shouldn’t have to redesign their facilities simply to deploy reliable networks,” explains Gonzalo Echeverría, Zyxel Iberia Country Manager. “The GS1915v2 series gives them greater choice over where and how to install their switches, while keeping management simple as needs evolve. For our systems integrator partners and managed services providers (MSPs), having a single product portfolio capable of covering diverse client environments also helps simplify procurement, support, and staff training.”

Solving the common installation challenges

The GS1915v2 series is designed to adapt to a wide range of small-business environments without requiring changes to the facilities. This flexibility comes from a practical combination of product options and design:

  • A portfolio for different installation types: The nine models provide 8-, 10-, 16-, and up to 24-port options, with or without PoE to suit varying power needs. Fiber uplinks enable high-speed, reliable connections over longer distances, while fanless models ensure quiet operation in noise-sensitive environments.
  • Flexible power and cabling: Of the nine models, six PoE models offer power budgets from 60W to 180W to supply power and data to IP cameras, Wi‑Fi access points, and access-control systems over a single cable. The GS1915-8PDv2 can also be powered by connecting it to a PoE switch, allowing businesses to install the switch in locations without a power outlet.
  • Versatile mounting: Desktop, wall, rack, and DIN-rail mounting options let the switches fit into existing spaces without requiring additional work.
  • Quiet operation: The fanless designs and intelligent fan help keep business networks running smoothly and quietly.
