In response to the consequences of the invasion Ceuta has endured and the growing pressure on the city’s healthcare resources, Fundación Vivofácil has activated a special support mechanism to facilitate residents’ access to medical and psychological care free of charge.
Through this initiative, all residents of Ceuta who hold a DNI (Documento Nacional de Identidad) or NIE (Número de Identidad de Extranjero) will be able to access, at no cost and without limit, two services:
- Unlimited telemedicine, which will allow remote medical consultations and, when the healthcare professional deems it appropriate, access to electronic prescriptions.
- Unlimited psychological assistance, to offer guidance and professional support to those who need it.
The program aims to provide an additional avenue of care for the population at a time of particular pressure on public services, enabling the remote resolution of certain consultations and needs that do not require in-person attention.
In this way, Fundación Vivofácil puts its resources and capabilities at the service of Ceutans to contribute, within its scope, to facilitating access to essential services and easing part of the existing strain on healthcare.
“In these kinds of situations we must be able to put our resources at the service of people where they can be useful. With this device we want to offer Ceuta residents an immediate and accessible care option, especially for those consultations that can be resolved without the need to physically visit a health center,” say Fundación Vivofácil.
Access to the device will be completely free for users, who will only need to possess a DNI or NIE to benefit from the enabled services. Interested individuals can access the service by calling 900 877 096, where they will be assisted and directed to the appropriate resource based on their needs.
