TietAI Closes €2.5M Funding Round to Bring AI to the Heart of Hospitals

May 21, 2026

TietAI has announced the closing of a seed financing round totaling €2.5 million to accelerate the development of Hydra, an artificial intelligence layer designed to empower hospital operations — from data ingestion and orchestration of clinical workflows to care transitions, including scheduling, billing, and laboratory data interpretation.

The round was co-led by Plus Partners and JME Ventures, with participation from BStartup of Banco Sabadell, Archipiélago Next, and a group of business angels. The objective is to expand the engineering team, accelerate certified deployments in Spanish and European hospitals, and develop new operating agents in areas such as clinical scheduling, diagnostics, care transitions, billing, and laboratory interpretation.

“With this round, TietAI consolidates a new category: AI platforms for health operations,”

Roberto Cruz, CEO and cofounder of TietAI. “The funds will enable us to expand the team, accelerate deployments in Spanish and European hospitals, and arrive prepared for major regulatory milestones — the European AI Regulation and the European Health Data Space (EHDS) — with a proposal that is not theoretical, but proven to work. It’s the right moment, with the right investors, to build European infrastructure from Europe.”

“Behind TietAI is a team with a very uncommon combination of technical talent and an obsession with solving real problems in hospitals. TietAI is the best option for AI to help doctors and healthcare teams on a daily basis. They reduce administrative burden, free up more time for patients, and, ultimately, improve the experience for everyone,” says Enrique Linares, General Partner at Plus Partners.

Technological Transformation, Scalability, and Internationalization

According to David Rey Blanco, COO and cofounder of TietAI, the aim of the Spanish company is to transform the technological backbone on which hospitals operate. “For decades, hospitals have relied on electronic health records and isolated tools, but they’ve never had a true unified operating layer,” Rey asserts. “Hydra is designed to become that invisible infrastructure that keeps everything running in a coordinated and reliable way.”

TietAI began operating from Madrid and already has an international presence in Estonia and Serbia, solidifying a growth strategy focused on the European market and aligned with the European Union’s AI Regulation and the European Health Data Space (EHDS).

AI in hospitals will not fail for lack of AI models; it will fail for lack of accessible and interoperable data. TietAI is precisely building that layer, just as European regulation makes it mandatory. We believe TietAI can become the infrastructure on which smart healthcare is deployed across Europe. Moreover, Roberto and David bring something uncommon in the European ecosystem: genuine technical depth in healthcare data integration and hands-on experience scaling data and AI products in leading companies,” says Samuel Gil, Managing Partner at JME Ventures.
