Anker Innovations has unveiled new products for this year, ranging from smart home security solutions to new audio offerings. In this context, soundcore, Anker Innovations’ premium audio and video brand, presents the Liberty 5 Pro and Liberty 5 Pro Max, the first two earbuds from the brand to incorporate the Anker THUS AI chip that delivers crystal-clear calls even in noisy environments.
By combining a ten-sensor array consisting of eight microphones that pick up ambient noise and two bone-conduction sensors that detect the voice’s vibrations in the skull, with the Anker THUS AI chip, the earbuds can better isolate your voice and make it sound crisp even in noisy environments.
The new earbuds also improve the performance of Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) compared to their predecessors, with up to twice the depth of cancellation versus the Liberty 4 Pro. Additionally, the Liberty 5 Pro Max include the AI Note-Taker feature, which lets you record meetings directly from the case, without needing to pull out your phone.
Crystal-clear calls in loud environments
Powered by the THUS AI chip, the Liberty 5 Pro and Liberty 5 Pro Max deploy a neural network AI model alongside the 10-sensor array to help separate the caller’s voice from ambient noise, ensuring you come through clearly on the other end of the call even in noisy environments. The bone-conduction sensors detect the physical vibration of the user’s voice, allowing it to be captured and transmitted clearly even when speaking softly, especially in moderately noisy settings.
Adaptive ANC 4.0 in changing environments
Soundcore’s Adaptive ANC 4.0 uses an eight-microphone array and processes audio data up to 384,000 times per second to continuously monitor both external noise and residual noise inside the ear, adjusting the cancellation curve in real time as conditions change. The algorithm addresses a wide range of noises, including low-frequency engine hum, office chatter, and ambient voices, for consistent noise reduction in everyday situations.
HearID 5.0 for a personalized sound
For personalized listening, both models include HearID 5.0, which creates a personalized equalization (EQ) profile from a hearing test and applies it to each song on the earbuds. They also feature an AI-powered sound enhancement system that uses a neural network to reconstruct audio details lost to Bluetooth compression, restoring up to 65% of the quality typically reduced in wireless audio.
Smart case with AI Note-Taker
The Liberty 5 Pro earbuds come with a charging case that includes a 0.96-inch TFT touch screen. The Liberty 5 Pro Max takes this further with what soundcore calls the world’s first headphones with a smart display and an AI Note-Taker, controlled via a 1.78-inch AMOLED display. Simply double-press the button on the back of the case; after the session, the soundcore app generates transcripts, identifies participants, and extracts tasks/actions. The AI translation is available on both models: on the Liberty 5 Pro, through the earbuds; and on the Liberty 5 Pro Max, through the case or the earbuds.
Additional features and accolades
Both models offer up to 6.5 hours of playback with ANC on and up to 28 hours in total with the charging case, they support wireless charging and fast charging, delivering up to 4 hours of playback with just 5 minutes of charging. Other features include multipoint connectivity, which allows pairing with three devices simultaneously, plus compatibility with Apple Find My, Google Fast Pair, IP55 dust and water resistance on both models, and Bluetooth 6.1 for a more stable connection.
Soundcore isn’t just launching new devices; it’s also debuting VibeOS, an AI-powered platform that connects its products and makes usage smoother.
