Prudencia.ai is a Spanish AI legal platform that has been recognized as the most reliable tool in the first AI Legal Assistant Benchmark published by the Legal Observatory, an independent benchmark in the legaltech sector in Spain. In this context, the Barcelona-based startup launches Nova, its next-generation product that, for the first time, tailors AI to the criteria and institutional knowledge of each firm.
«We’re very excited that an independent observatory has placed us in the top position for reliability, as this validates the work we’ve been doing since day one. It also comes at the best possible moment, coinciding with the launch of Nova, our new generation of product designed to function as the firm’s legal infrastructure—the environment from which the attorney works.», explains Carlos Guerrero, cofounder of Prudencia.ai.
Independent Comparative Analysis of AI for Legal Work in Spain
The Legal Reliability Index measures whether the responses of a legal AI assistant are reliable, traceable, and up-to-date with current law. Observatorio Legal has developed it over months with a public and verifiable methodology: 90 items across eight categories, three replicas of each query per assistant, and double-blind verification of all legal citations.
The measurement campaign evaluates 15 national and international assistants — including Claude Fable 5 by Anthropic, OpenAI’s ChatGPT Sol, Aranzadi Allegra, Vincent AI by vLex, and Lexroom — across more than 4,000 tests and 2,774 legal citations verified one by one.
Prudencia.ai leads the ranking with 90.6 points and delivers standout results across all dimensions: 97.4 points for source reliability, 90% for up-to-date legal status — correctly answering questions anchored to recent reforms — and only a 2.6% hallucination rate. Particularly notable is its performance in trap detection: 90 points, meaning it identifies and warns in 90% of queries built on false premises or references, rather than going with the flow and building on the error.
Nova, the Evolution of Prudencia.ai that Turns AI into the Firm’s Infrastructure
Nova is, quite literally, a new product category in its own right. While the first generation of AI tools for legal work focused on answering queries, Nova turns AI into the environment from which the attorney works.
The most significant differentiator is the firm’s memory: Nova learns the institutional knowledge of each firm — its criteria, its precedents, its way of working — and applies it to every new matter. It becomes the firm’s legal infrastructure.
Also added is a layer of legal analysis and reasoning that precedes any answer. In other words, before generating content, Nova first analyzes, detects risks, and builds the legal criteria, and only then acts. The goal is to improve technical quality while always maintaining human oversight.
The third differentiator is the smart files. Nova organizes each matter with persistent context, maintains the thread of each case, and allows the attorney to resume any file without losing prior work. This is complemented by a regulatory radar with personalized alerts on legislative changes, automatable legal procedures, and multimodal capabilities to analyze documents in any format.
Since its launch in February 2026, Prudencia.ai has surpassed 12,000 registered users and 700 paying clients. The company, funded entirely with its own capital, expects to close 2026 with an annual recurring revenue of €1.8 million.
«We’re proud to have built a reliable, accessible, and cost-effective legal AI, especially without backing from external investors. Now, with Nova, we’re confident that this powerful work tool will become the reference infrastructure for law firms in Spain,» Guerrero concludes.
