The Madrid City Council, through Madrid Emprende, has opened the submission window for companies interested in participating in the 14th Madrid Emprende Investment Forum. This initiative targets startups and innovative firms currently in a funding round, and since 2019 has helped raise more than €7.5 million in private capital.
“A capital aimed at driving growth, market positioning, scalability, and international expansion of the participating companies,” said Ángel Niño, the City Council member in charge of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Interested companies may submit their application by October 18, inclusive, by completing the registration form and attaching their investment proposal. The only requirements are that they must have a developed Minimum Viable Product (MVP), initial traction metrics, a full-time committed team, and financing needs starting at €100,000.
Once the submission deadline closes, proposals will be analyzed and 10 companies will be selected to present their projects to investors on December 1, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. at the Palacio de Cibeles in Madrid.
Niño highlighted the importance of these forums for companies “that are in scaling and growth phases and need a push in the form of private capital.” “Before the event, the selected projects will receive specialized guidance to prepare their pitches, as well as support to network with investors and track the outcomes through to the closing of negotiations,” he added.
More than 120 companies and a 20% rate of securing funding
Since the first Investment Forum organized by Madrid Emprende in September 2019, thirteen editions have hosted 127 companies. Of these, 20% have secured actual financing, a share that sits at the higher end of Spain’s national average, where roughly between 10% and 20% of companies participating in investment forums manage to secure funding.
Madrid Emprende Investment Forums are an initiative designed to connect entrepreneurial talent with private capital, accelerate the growth of innovative projects, and establish Madrid as a leading hub for startup investment. These forums have been conceived as a meeting place for investors interested in backing ventures with an innovative, scalable project and high growth potential.
