Nanostine Secures Over €1 Million to Bring Its Lab Technology to Industry

August 12, 2026

NANOSTINE has closed a funding round of more than €1 million to accelerate the industrialization and commercialization of its technology. The deal will enable the company to expand its technical and production capacity, bring on talent in strategic areas, advance new validations with customers, and bolster its commercial activity. Demand received during the process exceeded the capital ultimately accepted.

The company develops coatings that modify surface properties to tailor them for specific industrial needs. Through proprietary gas-phase deposition and ultra-high vacuum processes, it designs materials with functionalities tailored to high-value sectors such as sensors, aerospace, energy, healthcare, and advanced materials.

This round marks a turning point for NANOSTINE. We have demonstrated that our technology works and now we have the resources needed to industrialize it, accelerate its path to market, and transform that potential into real projects with our customers,” explains Daniel González, the company’s CEO.

Investors with technological and industrial experience

The round attracted participation from national and international private investors, business angels and professionals linked to the technology and industrial spheres, in addition to investors brought in through SEGO Venture.

During the process, NANOSTINE also received strategic guidance from APBEY to define its growth roadmap and tackle this new scaling phase.

Beyond the financial contribution, the company has sought investors capable of providing industrial experience, market knowledge and a long-term perspective. This backing is especially relevant in the deeptech space, where development, validation and scaling require specialized equipment, longer maturation cycles and close collaboration with industrial partners.

After several years focused on developing its technology platform, NANOSTINE is entering a phase aimed at turning its advances into industrial applications and recurring contracts. The company has validated its technology with various industrial partners and reference organizations, including the European Space Agency. These collaborations have helped demonstrate the potential of its coatings in demanding environments and reduce the risk associated with future commercial deployment.

The roadmap for the next two years envisions expanding production capacity, turning the validations performed into commercial projects and strengthening NANOSTINE’s presence in the highest-potential markets.

Our objective isn’t to develop technology in isolation, but to create solutions that respond to concrete industrial needs, provide a competitive edge, and scale sustainably,” the company notes.

NANOSTINE was, furthermore, one of the companies awarded on June 30 in the first edition of the Coral Awards, awards funded by the European Healthpreneurs project that recognize innovative initiatives with impact and growth potential.
