Madrid Emprende has completed another edition of its Accelerator Programs, developed across six business incubators in the city’s municipal network in Carabanchel, Moratalaz, Puente de Vallecas, San Blas, Villaverde, Vicálvaro. Since 2021, Madrid Emprende’s Accelerator Programs have driven and scaled the growth of more than 600 startups.
During the six-month duration of the programs, 50 startups have been accelerated for 6 months through specialized mentoring and advisory support, boosting the growth of their innovative projects by strengthening their business models, validating their market solutions, designing commercial and sales strategies, preparing presentations for investors and strategies to secure funding, and identifying new growth opportunities that propel their consolidation.
As the programs drew to a close, a Demo Day was held at each incubator between April and June, where the participating startups had the opportunity to present their projects, in an elevator-pitch format, before an expert jury composed of investors, business angels, representatives of public entities, and experts from the entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem. The sessions also included talks and panel discussions focused on strategic issues aimed at addressing the main challenges faced by emerging companies, such as fundraising, sustainable and planned growth, networking as a tool to boost businesses, and how to turn a mere project into a real market opportunity, among other topics.
Following the startups’ presentations, recognition diplomas were awarded to the companies that completed the accelerator program successfully, and in each session the company delivering the best pitch of the day was acknowledged. Among the projects honored with this “best pitch” distinction are: Conscious Dance Training Method and Impactiq with their BOOSTIQ app (in the Carabanchel edition); Cadabit Technologies (Moratalaz); DareMapp (San Blas); Martha Hernández Abogada (Vicálvaro); and MiniTales (the Villaverde incubator program).
The Demo Days concluded with networking spaces that allowed startups to establish new professional connections, broaden their visibility, and validate their proposals in a professional environment.
The window to submit applications to participate in the next edition of Madrid Emprende’s Accelerator Programs will open on September 7. A key novelty this edition will be, for the first time, sector-specialized accelerator programs at each business incubator, each offering a pathway tailored to a specific field of activity.
