Industrial company growth is not solely dependent on the quality of its project. It also requires suitable facilities to carry out productive activity and access to business advice and resources that help tackle the various stages of development.
The Madrid Network of Industrial Factories, part of the Madrid City Council’s Department of Economy, Innovation and Finance, was created to respond to these needs and to boost the growth and consolidation of industrial and service-industrial companies in the city. Its proposal combines the demanial lease of industrial warehouses and shared spaces with specialized advisory, training and services tailored to the needs of each project.
In this context, the City opens a new call for access to the Madrid Network of Industrial Factories. Individual entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises interested may submit their applications by October 31, 2026.
Facilities and services to drive each project
Companies granted the demanial lease will have an industrial facility to install machinery, organize production processes and manage the entry and exit of goods. They will also have access to shared spaces, such as meeting rooms, training areas, event rooms and coworking spaces.
Alongside these facilities, companies will have the support of a specialized team that identifies the needs of each project and provides guidance throughout the various stages of its development. This support includes business advisory, training and activities, guidance to access financing and advance internationalization, as well as opportunities to connect with other companies and players in Madrid’s industrial ecosystem.
Who can apply for admission?
The call is aimed at individual entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises that develop viable industrial or service-industrial projects from a technical and economic perspective.
To participate, projects must meet the following requirements:
- Have an innovative or technological component. This includes the development of new products, high value-added services or novel manufacturing processes, as well as projects that use scientific or technical knowledge to create market-ready solutions.
- Be registered under one of the economic activity codes (CNAE-2009) accepted in the call’s bases.
- Have a maximum age of five years, calculated from the start of the activity shown on Form 036 or 037.
- In the case of companies located outside the municipality that relocate their activity or production center to Madrid, projects up to ten years old will be admitted.
The business plan, a key part of the application
Companies must submit a plan that demonstrates the technical, economic and financial viability of the project, its industrial or service-industrial nature, and its innovative or technological component.
The document should explain the company’s activity, the product or service it develops, the market it targets, its business model, the resources required, its economic forecasts and the project’s production needs.
The demanial lease of the industrial facilities will have an effective duration of five years, with the possibility of extending it up to a maximum of three years for strategically important companies. Once the lease is notified, the company will have an initial period of three months to process the licenses, permits and authorizations needed to develop its activity.
Access to the industrial facilities and certain services will be subject to payment of the corresponding public price, in accordance with the conditions set by the City Council of Madrid. Applications are open until October 31, 2026.
