Logitech has expanded the capabilities of Logitech Spot, its environmental and presence sensor, with new integrations that allow companies to use real-time data on workspace usage and conditions to optimize management.
Spot can now connect with workplace management platforms, audiovisual control and analytics such as Appspace, Extron, Q-SYS, Planon, Robin, Spaceti, Utelogy, VergeSense, Xyte and Zoom. This enables facilities and IT teams to gain a clearer view of office occupancy and use this information to automate processes, improve room utilization, and tailor spaces to employees’ actual needs.
The device functions as a space-monitoring system and detects presence, while collecting data on variables such as temperature, humidity, CO₂ levels, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), particulates, and barometric pressure.
By exposing these data to partners through the CollabOS and Sync Cloud APIs, Logitech makes real-time room data actionable, turning space intelligence into practical outcomes for organizations.
“Facilities and IT teams no longer have to guess where to cut costs or where to invest,” said Henry Levak, Chief Executive Officer of Team Workspace Solutions. “With the new Logitech Spot integrations, they can create spaces that optimize themselves, reduce energy consumption, help prevent underutilization of real estate leases, and help employees stay focused on their work. By connecting with the tools our customers already use daily, making workplaces healthier, automated, and more efficient is easier than ever.”
From Static Rooms to Adaptable Workspaces
The new Logitech Spot integrations help organizations balance costs with a higher-quality work experience, turning space data into actionable insights to anticipate demand and optimize use. Planon, Spaceti and VergeSense can combine the data on occupancy collected by Spot with facility floor plans and booking systems to identify usage patterns, anticipate peak demand moments and improve space availability.
Real-time presence detection also allows optimizing room management and reducing the so-called “ghost meetings,” the booked spaces that ultimately go unused. The integrations with Appspace, Robin and Zoom can reserve spaces when someone enters, record attendance at scheduled meetings, or automatically release rooms that are not used. For its part, solutions from Extron, Utelogy and Xyte incorporate Spot telemetry into their dashboards to provide IT and AV teams with a centralized view of space usage, device status and the environmental conditions of rooms.
Spot data also contributes to improving employee well-being, as real-time metrics on air quality and temperature can be displayed on interactive maps, mobile apps or office screens to help employees choose spaces that best fit their needs. Additionally, platforms like Utelogy allow connecting AI business tools directly with Spot data, so managers can perform natural-language queries, such as “Which meeting rooms have had poor air quality this week?,” and receive data-driven answers.
Logitech Spot is designed for quick and easy deployment across large office spaces. Its installation via an adhesive mount allows it to connect via Bluetooth to host Logitech devices running CollabOS or via long-range LoRaWAN gateways, while its replaceable battery offers up to four years of autonomy and it also supports USB-C power. This enables organizations to expand their smart-office capabilities without installing new wiring or replacing existing infrastructure. Additionally, Logitech Spot carries RESET Grade B Air Accredited certification, recognizing its environmental monitoring capabilities.
