JAGGAER has begun implementing JAI, its AI-powered procurement assistant, on the digital platforms of its customers. Among other results, the company highlights a 50% reduction in inquiries or requests for technical assistance from clients who already have this technology.
Time savings have been achieved in more than 40 workflows thanks to the adoption of the new assistant, which is increasing by 1,000% each week.
JAGGAER defines JAI as an expert colleague who is always available, who knows the purchasing rules of each organization inside out and can answer any question about its spend, suppliers, or contracts in seconds. All of this without delays, without ticket requests for support, and without switching systems.
The company adds that JAI solves issues such as “Do I need authorization to buy this?” or “Who is our preferred office equipment supplier?” without the need to open a new request, wait for a response, or interrupt the work day.
Employees simply type their question —in plain language and in any of the 28 available languages— and JAI provides an instant, precise answer that adheres to the company’s policies.
JAI knows the rules of your company because it is based specifically on your own documents and data, not on the general internet. The answers it provides are relevant, reliable, and based on your actual policies. In addition, it respects the same security and access controls already implemented in the JAGGAER system, ensuring that users only see the information they are authorized to view.
Spend and Supplier Risk Analysis
Beyond answering questions, JAI can also deeply analyze spend data to extract valuable insights that previously required hours of work. For example, identifying where money is spent outside authorized channels, which suppliers pose the greatest risk, or where costs could be reduced.
JAI can be configured on the same day a company decides to adopt it. “Procurement management has always been based on making smart decisions with time and limited information. JAI completely changes that equation. It is integrated into the core platform and understands the organization’s business, respects its rules, and provides practical answers,” said Andrew Roszko, CEO of JAGGAER.
A major financial sector organization describes its initial experience with JAI: “As a financial institution, we are subject to very high standards, both from a regulatory and contractual standpoint. In practice, this means that those responsible for the supply chain must consult and comply with a complex set of principles. These are found in various guides, from risk manuals to sourcing guides, often located in different places or outside the internal system, which makes the consultation process difficult.”
“JAI changes everything. By creating a unified view of all these standards, users can find answers to their questions quickly and efficiently, without leaving the system,” it continues.
This organization is confident that in the future ticket issuance times and audit preparation will improve. But the time savings and the precision of the details we are seeing in the early access phase already represent a major achievement.
