HP Unveils Its Latest AI Innovations and Experiences

April 16, 2026

HP has unveiled its new AI-enabled devices, security innovations, and intelligent workflow solutions designed to help businesses and individuals thrive in an AI-powered future of work.

The future of work is about simplifying tasks within the workplace in a world that’s increasingly complex. At HP, we have focused on using AI to create more connected experiences that help organizations move faster and people perform at their best,” said Bruce Broussard, interim Chief Executive Officer of HP. “At HP Imagine 2026, we show how this comes to life through solutions that work in a coordinated, secure, seamless way so our customers can bring their best selves to wherever they work.”

Empowering People to Do Their Best Work

Despite the rapid pace of digitalization adoption by users and businesses, frictions persist. According to HP’s 2025 Work Relationship Index, only 20% of workers have a healthy relationship with work, and 22% experience monthly technical issues that disrupt focus. The solution to this situation could be having the right technology to ensure an improved user experience.

Employees who have the right technological tools are twice as likely to feel satisfied with their job and record a 33-point improvement in overall experience metrics. AI is amplifying that impact at scale: HP’s internal AI-powered PC rollout boosted productivity by 16%, keeping employees productive and companies operating at full speed.

Device-Integrated Intelligence, Right Where Work Happens

To further reduce complexity in the modern workplace, HP has announced HP IQ, which combines on-device intelligence with connectivity and enterprise-management capabilities. This enables new levels of employee productivity and collaboration on HP AI-enabled PCs and workplace devices.

HP IQ will begin to integrate in the next generation of HP AI PCs, starting with the EliteBook X G2, and the first on-device AI experiences will include:

  • Ask IQ: responds to text and voice inputs, offering contextual answers and guidance.
Analyze: helps employees interact with personal files (including PDFs, TXTs, DOCs and PPTs) to obtain summaries and useful information.
  • Notes & Knowledge: Maintains a continuous record of interactions so employees can pick up where they left off and organizes notes to be searchable and shareable.
  • Meeting Agent: quickly captures ideas or takes notes during a meeting without switching apps, helping participants stay focused.

HP IQ can be configured via the HP Workforce Experience Platform (WXP) and can be deployed through WXP or other enterprise-management tools such as Microsoft Intune.

Seamless Collaboration Across the HP Ecosystem

As part of HP IQ, HP has introduced HP NearSense, a new spatial intelligence that helps devices detect, connect, and collaborate, simplifying transitions between tasks and environments. HP NearSense helps transfer work between nearby devices more easily by enabling real-time sharing of context and capabilities, powering experiences such as:

The simplest PC-to-PC file-sharing solution with the most secure experience: users can drag and drop documents, images, and presentations to nearby colleagues instantly.
One-click join: offers seamless, one-click options to join meetings in conference rooms.
Over time, HP plans to extend NearSense capabilities across the HP ecosystem to HP Poly videoconferencing solutions, printing devices, desktops, workstations, and peripherals, among others.

Designed for an Always-Active, AI-Driven Work

Designed for office collaborators and remote workers, HP has introduced the EliteBook 6 G2q, a next-generation AI PC that combines high-performance AI compute, connected experiences, exceptional battery life, and premium design in a sleek, ultra-thin chassis. Some of its features include:

  1. Maximize productivity for advanced AI workflows with an NPU performance of up to 85 TOPS on the Snapdragon X2 Elite and X2 Plus processors, enabling local, fast AI experiences on this Copilot+ PC. HP is working with more than 100 ISV partners to leverage the device’s local AI capabilities, including Rakuten, Goodnotes, and Guidde.
  2. Keep work moving all day with long battery life and always-connected experiences thanks to industry-leading reliability and unlimited data when using HP Go 5G, which automatically switches operators to deliver the best available connection.
  3. Fit hybrid workstyles with a sleek, lightweight chassis, up to 15% thinner than the previous generation to ease commuting between locations, finished in Glacier Silver.
  4. Protect work practically anywhere with hardware-backed security designed for modern IT environments, including HP Wolf Pro Security Next Gen Antivirus (NGAV) and a new physical-intrusion detection that powers off the device and protects memory if the chassis is opened.

HP has also expanded its professional lineup (including AMD and Intel options) to reflect the growing diversity of roles, workflows, and environments in today’s organizations, and to ensure IT departments—and even end users—can choose the right device based on how work is done, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Security for the Future of Work

HP announced hardware-backed protections and quantum-computing–resistant security measures, strengthening security across its portfolio and addressing well-known gaps in the industry, while preparing customers for emerging threats:

  • HP TPM Guard: The first hardware solution that stops physical bus attacks on the TPM, delivering the world’s first business laptop capable of preventing access-attacks that bypass BitLocker encryption. HP TPM Guard protects against this threat by introducing an encrypted link between the TPM and the CPU, preventing interception attacks. The TPM is cryptographically bound to the device, making it useless if removed or tampered with, sealing this industry-wide security gap without adding complexity for IT teams.
  • Expansion of HP Wolf Security capabilities: HP is also strengthening security across its line of business PCs with new HP Wolf Security features. These focus on increasing synergy between WXP, HP Wolf Security, and the enterprise architecture to reduce operational costs and cyber risk.

Faster document digitization with quantum-resistant security. Designed for companies facing hybrid work and accelerated digitization, HP introduces the LaserJet Pro 4000/4100 and LaserJet Enterprise 5000/6000 series, which combine fast, reliable printing, AI-powered document processing, and quantum-resistant security to bridge printed and digital workflows.

Created for small businesses and growing ventures, the LaserJet Pro 4000/4100 series offers professional-quality monochrome printing in a compact, cost-effective design. As the world’s first SMB printer with quantum-resistant security, it helps protect confidential documents without being difficult to set up or manage for resource-constrained IT teams. The series also delivers up to 25% lower printing costs thanks to TerraJet Toner technology and is backed by a three-year warranty.

The LaserJet Enterprise 5000/6000 series is designed for large enterprises with a fast-paced workload that demands speed, reliability, and advanced security. With high-speed print and scan, HP FutureSmart firmware to keep devices up to date, and AI features such as Scan AI Enhanced and editable OCR, manual document-processing time can be reduced by up to 50%. Maintenance has been streamlined, with 90% of repairable parts able to be replaced in under eight minutes.

High Performance for Power Users

In recognition of the growing complexity of AI workloads and the increasing sensitivity of data, HP has launched a new generation of HP Z workstations and AI solutions, designed to give demanding professionals maximum compute power and help IT modernize its infrastructure for a hybrid environment.

  • HP Z8 Fury: Built to meet the most demanding computing and AI workloads, with support for up to four NVIDIA RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell Max-Q GPUs and latest-generation workstation-class Intel processors. The Z8 Fury is purpose-built as a high-performance GPU host for advanced AI development, visual effects, and simulation workloads.
  • HP Max Panel for Z8 Fury and Z4 workstations: The industry’s first chassis-side expansion panel that increases internal volume by 15%. The new HP Max Side Panel lets power users and IT staff install larger graphics cards without tools, while maintaining thermal performance and IT-approved maintainability.

HP has also announced updates to its mobile lineup with the HP ZBook X G2i, the HP ZBook 8 G2i and the ZBook 8G2a. These mobile workstations, thin and light, deliver next-generation performance for AI workloads, with options from AMD and Intel, scalable memory, and improved portability without sacrificing battery life.
