HP is launching significant updates to the device management capabilities of its Workforce Experience Platform (WXP), designed to help organizations ensure business continuity and deliver smoother work experiences in hybrid and distributed environments.

The new capabilities include firmware-level recovery for devices that fail to boot, unified printer management, advanced analytics for collaboration spaces, customizable alerts, and faster global rollout via AWS Marketplace. Remote access in-band and out-of-band from a single platform
The new Out-of-Band Remote Connect feature enables IT departments to manage updates, diagnose incidents, and resolve issues on any PC with Intel vPro Enterprise, even below the OS layer. This provides IT administrators full keyboard, video, and mouse (KVM) control at the BIOS level, even if the operating system fails to boot or has been damaged.
This approach significantly reduces resolution times and eliminates the need to ship replacement devices, dispatch technicians, or involve employees in complex recovery processes. In large organizations, this translates to fewer hours of downtime and a tangible improvement in uptime, while also reducing the environmental footprint associated with logistics and on-site support.
WXP is currently the only multi-vendor solution that combines firmware-level remote control and traditional in-band remote access within a single management platform. Out-of-Band Remote Connect is now available, as a standalone per-device license or as an add-on feature of the WXP Fleet Management2 plan.
Unified printer management from a single console
Printing issues remain one of the most frequent IT incidents. With the new WXP capabilities, administrators can now monitor fleets of printers from multiple vendors from the same console used for PCs and video and audio devices, in addition to managing the configuration and security of HP FutureSmart5 enterprise printers.
This integration reduces operational complexity, eliminates siloed tooling, and provides a holistic view of the device ecosystem. For employees, it means fewer interruptions; for IT admins, more efficient and consistent management.
Actionable insights to optimize meeting spaces
HP has added Collaboration Space Insights to WXP, giving organizations a comprehensive view of how their meeting spaces are used. The solution combines booking data, technology utilization, and IoT sensors to identify inefficiencies and guide decisions on technology investments and real estate.
The result is greater visibility into the real usage of rooms and collaborative spaces, enabling organizations to maximize return on investment and boost team productivity.
Custom alerts for more effective monitoring
The new WXP customizable alerts allow IT teams to define fleet- or device-level rules, setting thresholds, recovery windows, and escalation criteria. Stabilized alerts can be automatically resolved and notifications can be sent through the platform itself, email, or Microsoft Teams.
