Orbitkey has expanded its tech lineup with three new products designed for people who work between home, the office, and any available desk: the Hybrid Laptop Sleeve V2, the Slim Laptop Sleeve, and the Essentials Keyboard Pouch, a dedicated sleeve for external keyboards. The launch is part of Modern Professional, the brand’s new campaign about how we work today: between home and office, on the road, or trying to bring some order to daily routines. The Australian company, founded in Melbourne in 2013 and known for its key organizer, has built its catalog around a simple idea: the work setup no longer lives at a fixed desk. A laptop travels from the office to a backpack and from there to a café table, almost always accompanied by a keyboard, mouse, and charger. Most sleeves protect only part of that setup. These three launches are aimed precisely at the rest.
It’s not a small niche. According to Spain’s INE Active Population Survey, by the end of 2025 nearly 3.3 million workers were regularly or occasionally working from home, just over 15% of the total. And the fifth edition of the Telework Survey by InfoJobs, published in September 2025, confirms that the hybrid format is dominant: most teleworkers split their time between home and office, with all the daily equipment that travels along and isn’t always well protected.
A Sleeve That Becomes a Workspace
The most interesting product for the mobile professional is the Hybrid Laptop Sleeve V2, which inherits the idea of a “portable workspace” from the first generation with a lighter, thinner design. It integrates a fold-out stand that elevates the screen by 12 degrees to bring it closer to the line of sight and improve posture—a detail anyone who has spent a day hunched over a laptop will appreciate.
When opened, the sleeve becomes a desktop mat with space for a mouse, so any surface becomes a workspace. The set is completed with a new elastic back pocket to carry a charger, cables, or the mouse alongside the laptop without adding bulk. It’s offered in sizes 13″-14″ and 15″-16″, in black and espresso, with a vegan leather exterior and a braided fabric interior.
The Slim Laptop Sleeve is the minimalist option of the trio, designed for those who want reliable protection with no extras. Its dual-zipper opening lets you pull the laptop out vertically or horizontally, depending on how it’s stored in a backpack or bag, and the back handle also doubles as an anchor to a suitcase’s telescoping handle—a clear nod to travelers.
The fit is optimized for Apple laptops and it’s made from recycled polyester, in black, lilac, and terracotta.
The third piece is the most curious: the Essentials Keyboard Pouch debuts a dedicated category in Orbitkey’s catalog and gives external keyboards something almost no one had given them until now—a sleeve of their own. Thin padding protects the keyboard and keys, an interior mesh pocket holds cables, adapters, or a compact mouse, and a wide-opening zipper lets you see everything at a glance. It’s designed around the dimensions of the most popular compact keyboards from Logitech, Keychron, and Apple, in two sizes (Mini and Standard) and the same three colors as the Slim.
Pricing and Availability
In Orbitkey’s official store, the Hybrid Laptop Sleeve V2 starts at $79.90, the Slim Laptop Sleeve at $39.90, and the Essentials Keyboard Pouch at $39.90 for the Mini version and $44.90 for the Standard. The company has not yet announced official euro prices for the European store.
For a small business with hybrid setups or unassigned desks, the proposal makes a lot of sense: the cost of replacing a keyboard or a laptop damaged in transit is rarely budgeted, and the ergonomics of remote work remain a pending topic. With prices under $80 for the most expensive item, the math stacks up considerably against replacing a MacBook with a broken screen.
