Fotowatio Renewable Ventures has successfully completed, alongside Stratesys, the deployment of FAST 2.0, Flow Approval & Smart Tracking, its new global platform for the comprehensive lifecycle management of Budget Approval Requests.
The project marks a strategic step in FRV’s recent digital evolution and responds to the need to move toward a more flexible, scalable, and connected financial governance model. The initiative has enabled the company’s approval workflows to evolve into a cutting-edge ecosystem built on the Microsoft Power Platform.
A strategic migration to strengthen financial governance
In a context of international growth and increasing operational complexity, FRV sought a solution capable of supporting the company’s global expansion. Managing Budget Approval Requests required evolving toward a model prepared to absorb large volumes of information, reduce response times, and integrate with corporate financial systems.
The challenge of the project was not only to evolve the supporting technology but to preserve years of financial management continuity and ensure that the entire approval history remained available and structured in the new environment. To accomplish this, Stratesys designed a Microsoft cloud-based architecture that centralizes information and automates key processes.
One of the main milestones of FAST 2.0 has been the migration of 22,000 Budget Approval Requests and 90,000 historical approval steps. This process has allowed the continuity of approval evidence to be maintained and the historical financial management data migrated to the new corporate platform.

An integrated, scalable corporate platform oriented to operations
The new platform rests on Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse, and incorporates mobility capabilities through Canvas apps, enabling teams to manage approvals from mobile devices, along with an intelligent notification system and automatic reminders.
The solution also integrates in real time with SAP via a Custom Connector SOAP/HTTPS, allowing budgets to be validated and purchase orders created automatically. This connection to the company’s financial environment strengthens visibility into committed spend versus actual budget from a single management environment.
Among the primary operational benefits, FAST 2.0 provides a more continuous management of approval flows and greater autonomy to evolve work processes. The substitute management functionality also helps prevent interruptions during absences and reduces bottlenecks in daily operations.
