The Eurecat Madrid technology center has driven 85 technology-innovation projects in its first year of operation, expanding its activity to nearly fifty clients across sectors such as logistics, healthcare, and construction, and in fields like the valorization of technological assets, as part of its strategic commitment to be closer to the country’s economic, business and innovation ecosystem, in order to help accelerate technology transfer and business competitiveness.
To this end, “the average of almost two projects per Eurecat Madrid client suggests that many companies and organizations are seeking to establish a relationship that helps them advance across several challenges, hybridizing technologies to innovate in products, services, and new production processes,” notes Samuel Rodríguez, director of Eurecat Madrid.
From his point of view, “sectors such as healthcare, energy, mobility, industry, the advanced services sector, and areas like sustainability or digitization face the challenge of incorporating technology without losing focus—a facet where the capabilities and infrastructure of a tech center like Eurecat make the difference.”
With this objective, he continues, “Eurecat brings expert knowledge and helps chart the path, to identify opportunities, prioritize challenges, design proof-of-concept tests, validate solutions, combine disciplines and accompany the leap toward real-world applications.”
In its first year of operation, Eurecat Madrid “has found its place within an ecosystem formed by large companies, innovative SMEs, tech startups, universities, research centers, public administrations, sector associations and specialized talent,” adds Eurecat’s CEO, Xavier López.
In this sense, Eurecat Madrid’s opening “has allowed rapidly bringing advanced technological capabilities to one of the country’s major economic, scientific, and business ecosystems, connecting knowledge, technology, industry and market to accelerate the competitiveness of companies and organizations,” he notes.
