The new flatbed UV printer SC-V4000 A1+ in a 10-color configuration joins Epson’s lineup of UV flatbeds alongside the SC-V1000 and SC-V7000 models, addressing the growing demand for higher productivity, image quality, and ease of use in the expanding UV flatbed A1/A2 segment.
The SC-V4000 is designed for businesses operating in compact spaces, delivering significant productivity gains while optimizing footprint. Achieve enhanced image quality with crisp text reproduction, making it the ideal choice for printing high-quality personalized items, such as artwork, photography, and signage.
“The SC-V4000 raises the bar in the UV flatbed printer market,” says Jordi Yagües, Business Manager Commercial & Industrial Printing at Epson Iberia. “With superior color reproduction, an expanded color gamut, and improved gradation, we are providing our customers the means to produce high-quality results for personalized printed items across a diverse range of substrates.”
Among the main features of the Epson SC-V4000 include:
- High color reproducibility: using 10 UltraChrome UV inks (CMYK, Lc, Lm, Gy, R, W, Vr) the V4000 expands its color palette and enables improved gradation and reduced grain. The printer can reproduce high-definition text, printing with clarity details as small as 2 pt, ideal for copyrights and complex designs.
- Maximizes production in tight spaces: with an A1+ footprint, the SC-V4000 can print two A2 items (18″×24″) simultaneously. By employing three PrecisionCore print heads, with 400 nozzles per row, this new printer achieves a high print speed at 300 ppi, enabling efficient three-layer (white, color, and varnish) printing simultaneously.
- Easier operation: the SC-V4000 is designed to simplify operation and maintenance, allowing users to manage daily tasks such as moving the printhead gantry, checking inkjet nozzles, refilling ink, and replacing waste ink reservoirs from the front. The automatic media height sensor and the jam-detection system improve operational efficiency by preventing printhead stops and reducing downtime.
- Application versatility: the SC-V4000 can print on objects up to 200 mm thick, and using the DTFilm UV film, it can handle curved and challenging substrates.
