EnGenius Launches ECS2310FP L2+ Switch for Multigigabit Enterprise Edge Networking

September 21, 2026

EnGenius Technologies has expanded its cloud-managed switch lineup with the ECS2310FP CloudSwitch MGPlus 8 Full PoE. This is an L2+ multigigabit switch designed to modernize edge connectivity in enterprise networks.

The new model combines high performance, PoE+ power, and centralized management. It also stands out for its compact form factor that makes installation easier in environments where space, operational simplicity, and scalability are critical.

The ECS2310FP responds to the evolution of corporate networks toward Wi‑Fi 6, Wi‑Fi 6E, and Wi‑Fi 7 access points, higher‑resolution IP cameras, VoIP telephony systems, multigigabit workstations, and IoT devices. These technologies are driving higher bandwidth demands and exposing the limitations of traditional infrastructures based solely on Gigabit Ethernet connections.

To eliminate bottlenecks, the switch includes eight 2.5GbE PoE+ ports, accompanied by two 10GbE SFP+ ports for connecting to the core network, a distribution switch, or the aggregation fabric. Its total PoE budget of 114 W enables powering directly access points, surveillance cameras, and IP terminals over the same cable used to transmit data, reducing the need for power supplies, outlets, and additional cabling.

Its compact desk‑side design and fanless operation allow installation in small communications closets, on countertops, offices, retail locations, clinics, technical rooms, distributed IDFs, or locations without a conventional network rack. This flexibility helps bring connectivity and power closer to end devices without having to redesign the building’s physical infrastructure.

Cloud management to simplify the network and improve service delivery

One of the ECS2310FP’s central elements is its integration with EnGenius Cloud. The platform enables zero‑touch provisioning, centralized configuration, remote monitoring, and multi‑site management without the need to deploy additional physical controllers.

For the end user, this model provides a consolidated view of the infrastructure’s health, makes it easier to apply consistent configurations across sites, and reduces dependence on specialized technicians at each location. For integrators, MSPs, and ISPs, it enables standardized deployments, remote provisioning of new equipment, management of networks across multiple clients or sites, and diagnosing issues from a single interface.

The result is shorter deployment and support times, fewer on‑site visits, and a more efficient operating base for delivering scalable managed services. Furthermore, in projects requiring a private management model, the device can also integrate with EnGenius Private Cloud.

This combination of multigigabit hardware and centralized operation is particularly relevant for companies with remote offices, multi‑store chains, service centers, and organizations with limited IT resources at each site. The technical team or service provider can maintain a uniform configuration, monitor link status, and act on the network without physically traveling to every location.

In retail environments, the ECS2310FP can consolidate connectivity for point‑of‑sale devices, guest and staff Wi‑Fi, IP cameras, and operational devices from a single unit. In small offices and branches it provides a compact platform to upgrade Gigabit networks without introducing large‑format switches. In surveillance deployments it enables connecting and powering multiple cameras from a location near the point of use.

The new switch is also aimed at residential buildings, apartments, student housing, senior living communities, hotels, and other multi‑dwelling unit (MDU) environments, where infrastructure is typically distributed across multiple floors, technical rooms, or units. Its compact form factor allows deploying multiple units on the property, while cloud management enables centralized monitoring at the building, complex, or portfolio level.

Within an enterprise architecture, the ECS2310FP can sit immediately after the gateway or distribution switch, acting as a multigigabit access layer in secondary closets and edge locations. Its 10GbE SFP+ links provide ample capacity to transport toward the core the traffic generated by next‑generation Wi‑Fi access points, cameras, workstations, and other high‑performance devices.

With this release, EnGenius bridges the gap between entry‑level smart switches, typically limited to 1GbE, and larger, more complex rack solutions. The ECS2310FP offers businesses, integrators, and service providers an option that combines multigigabit performance, PoE power, remote management, and easy installation, with an architecture ready to scale with evolving network needs.
