The Eholo platform has reached 21,000 professional users in Spain and has welcomed CRB Health Tech and GCO Ventures as equity investors.
The company, which in 2025 managed more than a million psychology sessions and supported the care of nearly a million patients, will allocate the new funding to accelerate the development of its AI assistant MIA, continue investing in security and data protection, and expand its strategic agreements in the sector.
Founded in 2022, Eholo has established itself as one of the management platforms for mental health professionals with the strongest footprint in Spain, in a context of growing digitalization of psychological practice and the consolidation of technology tools tailored to the sector.
An AI that reduces administrative burden
In recent months, the company has rolled out a new version of MIA, its AI assistant integrated into the platform. MIA transcribes sessions, generates clinical documentation from that transcription, and allows querying a patient’s history in natural language, always under the supervision of the clinician. The new version includes improvements in responsiveness, specialization in the mental health domain, and understanding of clinical context.
“The incorporation of artificial intelligence in mental health requires a constant balance between usefulness, specialization, and safety. Our priority has been to develop tools that assist the professional without ever substituting their clinical judgment”, explains Sonia Torras, cofounder of Eholo.
Eholo has also advanced in forming alliances with relevant entities in the field of psychology in Spain. The integration with Doctoralia connects appointment bookings directly to Eholo’s calendar, without duplicating data or managing the appointment in two separate systems. In addition, the collaboration with AEPSIS, an association and platform specialized in training for psychology and psychotherapy professionals, serves more than 15,000 new students each year with more than 180 online courses, master’s programs and international conferences.
“Our aim is for professionals to spend less time on administrative tasks and more on clinical care. These agreements go in that direction: connecting patient acquisition, training, and daily management into a single workflow,” says Eduard Martí, cofounder of Eholo.
In parallel, the company has strengthened its development team and earned the ISO/IEC 27001 certification, which confirms the implementation of an information security management system in line with the international standard.
