Canva’s Initiative to Support Entrepreneurs and Small Businesses

July 29, 2026

Canva recently launched its initiative to support entrepreneurs and small businesses in Spain, targeted at freelancers, aspiring entrepreneurs, founders, and SMBs to help them grow their businesses. It does so through creativity, design, AI-powered tools, and support for this community of professionals. This initiative comprises several support programs that will benefit the professional community in Spain.

A New Support Ecosystem for Entrepreneurs and SMBs

The Canva Spain SMB community, open to the entire ecosystem of small and medium-sized businesses, is founded to accompany founders, executives, and entrepreneurs in one of their main challenges: growing with more agility, coherence, and autonomy in an increasingly competitive environment. Through practical sessions, useful training, and spaces to connect with other business leaders, this community will empower small and medium-sized businesses to address real challenges in communication, branding, and growth to achieve concrete, actionable results for their business after each activity. More than a networking space, the initiative aims to provide tools, knowledge, and a high-quality support network so that SMBs can professionalize their image, optimize resources, and accelerate their development with Canva as a strategic ally.

Meanwhile, the Canvassadors Club will bring together a select group of entrepreneurs and professionals who already actively use Canva in their businesses and who want to share their experience with the community. Members of the program will gain access to exclusive benefits such as product previews, private events, expert mentoring, visibility on the brand’s channels, and Canva for Business free for their teams. They will also be able to participate in an annual accelerator in which they will present their projects and compete for funding to accelerate their growth, becoming leaders within the Spanish entrepreneurial ecosystem.

These launches come at a pivotal moment when one in six internet users in Spain already uses this tool. Globally, the platform surpasses 265 million users, reinforcing its position as a leading AI-powered visual communication platform and its role in transforming the way people create, collaborate, and communicate.

“At Canva, we believe entrepreneurship thrives when people have access not only to the right tools, but also to the knowledge, networks, and opportunities they need. In Spain, where small and medium-sized enterprises account for nearly 99% of the business fabric, we aim, through our professional community programs, to support all those driving innovation in the country, while strengthening Canva’s role as a true strategic partner that helps them create, communicate, and grow with confidence,” said Soraya C. Hidalgo, General Manager for Spain.
