Brother Spot Cooler Evaporative Cooler

April 24, 2026

Brother has launched onto the HVAC market a portable evaporative cooling solution: the Spot Cooler PD-7100S, designed to deliver localized cooling in industrial spaces. Spot Cooler PD-7100S

The new unit has been designed to operate in large spaces where installing a fixed climate-control solution is not always viable, or where cooling the entire area would be cost-prohibitive. This describes warehouses, industrial facilities, factories, workshops, or logistics centers with high ceilings and open, expansive zones, where targeted cooling lets you act precisely at the point of need, whether it’s a specific workstation or a particular operational area.

With this launch, Brother moves into a field tied to a need that is increasingly present in society. Rising temperatures and the obligation to guarantee proper working conditions in numerous professional environments are driving the search for more efficient cooling alternatives, especially in facilities where conventional systems can entail high installation and energy costs.

The Brother proposal is based on an evaporative cooling approach. The PD-7100S uses TwinAqua two-stage water-based technology and is CFC-free, reducing the environmental impact associated with other climate-control solutions. In addition, the unit does not generate residual hot air and is designed to deliver a powerful airflow exactly where it’s needed, with three operating levels and up to six hours of operation on a single water refill.

Few People in Large Spaces

This configuration enables more efficient responses in contexts with low person density in very large spaces. In these situations, cooling only the occupied zone can be more sensible than trying to lower the temperature of the entire room. The Spot Cooler PD-7100S can provide an approximate 6.9°C (about 44°F) reduction compared to outdoor air between the outlet and the intended use point: a capacity designed to improve comfort in localized work areas.

Brother also emphasizes the unit’s operational simplicity. The Spot Cooler does not require permanent installation, and its maintenance is straightforward, a key feature in environments that need agile and easy-to-deploy solutions.

The new unit is primarily targeted at HVAC managers or service teams for logistics, industrial, manufacturing, storage, and transportation areas. Brother aims to open a new business line built around a solution that combines mobility, energy efficiency, and adaptability to spaces where localized cooling can provide a more precise answer than other alternatives.

“With this launch, Brother diversifies its activity with a solution designed to respond to a very specific need, but with strong growth in industrial and commercial environments where evenly cooling large areas is not always viable,” says José Ramón Sanz, product marketing manager at Brother Iberia. “The new Spot Cooler allows action exactly in the zones where cooling is required, with a portable unit that is easy to maintain and designed to deliver efficiency and flexibility in large workspaces.”
