Bodegas Murviedro, part of the international Schenk Family Wine Estates group, strengthens its leadership team with the appointment of Miguel Ángel Hernández as the new Global Commercial Director, a move that aligns with the company’s strategy to continue driving sustainable growth and enhance the positioning of its brands in both national and international markets.
Educated at IE Business School and holder of the WSET Diploma (Wine & Spirit Education Trust), Miguel Ángel combines solid technical wine knowledge with broad experience in commercial strategy and market development. His track record includes more than three years as Commercial Director at Vivanco Cultura de Vino, 14 years at CVNE leading sales strategy in the food retail channel and expansion in Latin America. He has also held key positions in strategic account management at companies such as Heinz Ibérica and Schweppes, experiences that have given him a cross-cutting view of the sector.
In his new role, Miguel Ángel Hernández will lead the company’s commercial strategy at national and international levels, driving channel coordination, opening and consolidating new markets, and enhancing the value of the group’s brands. “Taking on this role is a major challenge and a tremendous responsibility. It is a winery with strong roots and a clear future vision. My aim is to continue building on that foundation, boosting the value of our brands in every market where we are present,” he emphasizes.
