Amphora Launches Comprehensive AI-Powered Logistics Solution

September 20, 2026

How many orders were placed last month? Which orders are arriving late? How is the operation performing in a given market? Until now, answering these questions has meant jumping between different screens, applying filters, and cross-referencing information. The Catalonia-based startup Amphora wants to change this dynamic and allow companies to ask an AI directly what is happening in their logistics operation.

The Catalan company has developed a tool that connects artificial intelligence assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity with the data from its logistics platform. In this way, the AI can query real-time information about orders, inventory, returns, goods receipts, or invoicing and respond to user questions in natural language.

From looking up information to conversing with it

The main difference with a conventional AI is that the assistant can work with the operation’s real data. For example, when asked about orders placed during a given month, it can directly query Amphora’s information and offer the answer along with data about its evolution or volume.

“Until now, to understand what is happening in a logistics operation you had to go fetch the information. The goal is to change that: you can ask the AI directly and it can query the data and explain what is happening. We don’t want to build just a chatbot, but to make our product smarter,” explains Adrià Cortés, CEO and cofounder of Amphora.

To make this possible, Amphora has spent the past several months developing a new layer of information that allows the AI to interpret the data from its platform and relate them to one another. This infrastructure connects via the Model Context Protocol (MCP), a standard that enables connecting AI models with tools and external information sources. The system also preserves each user’s access permissions, so the AI can only query information to which they already have access.

The first step toward smarter logistics

The tool is part of Amphora’s broader strategy to bring artificial intelligence into its platform and improve and progressively automate various logistics processes.

Among the functionalities the company is developing include an integrated chat within the platform, the generation of customized reports, contextual assistance, recommendations to improve operations, and automations such as address corrections or ticket management.

The MCP is currently in a pilot phase and represents the first step toward expanding Amphora’s AI capabilities and moving toward a logistics platform where more and more processes can be managed more simply and autonomously.
