The Expo AgriTech 2026 fair is already warming up to once again position Andalusia as a benchmark in agricultural innovation. Under the motto ‘Transform your field, propel your future’, the expo will showcase cutting-edge technologies that are transforming farm management toward a more efficient, competitive, and sustainable model.
The event, which will take place from November 4–5 at the Malaga Convention and Exhibition Centre (FYCMA), announced today the novelties of its third edition, at a presentation that brought together in Seville agricultural and food companies, cooperatives, and farmers, as well as major farming organizations such as ASAJA, UPA, Cooperativas Agroalimentarias de Andalucía, IFAPA, or Tecnova, among others, which outlined the cutting-edge initiatives they will present at the fair this year.
Alongside them, more than 250 exhibiting firms will showcase the latest technology transforming the countryside, before more than 8,000 industry professionals, from farm owners, farmers, agronomists and agricultural technicians to representatives of cooperatives, farming associations and young farmers. All will be seeking the latest solutions in state-of-the-art machinery, precision agriculture, efficient irrigation systems, agricultural performance tools, fertilizers, agro-energy, post-harvest equipment, biofertilizers, and technologies linked to 4.0 farming, among others.
Knowledge for a sector facing major challenges
The agricultural sector faces challenges associated with the current geopolitical and economic climate, from climate phenomena to regulatory updates, rising production costs, the need for more sustainable models, and generational succession. These topics, together with the importance of applying technology concretely to crops, will be debated at the AgriTech 4.0 Congress, the largest European forum on agricultural trends, which will bring together more than 300 top experts such as Thomas Fellman (European Commission), Antonio Domene (Moyca), Víctor Luque (Trops), María Dolores Guillén (Unica), Patricia López (Fresón de Palos), Patricia Rodríguez (IberoPistacho), Rafael Domínguez (Freshuelva), Juan Jesús Lara (CASI), Juan Antonio Reyes (Reyes Gutiérrez), Carlos Barceló (Primaflor), or Alfredo Arbeloa (Grupo AN), among many others.
Guadalupe López, director of the AgriTech 4.0 Congress, noted that “the farmer needs concrete answers in a global market that is changing rapidly. Technology already enables automating tasks, understanding better what happens in each crop, using resources more precisely, and making data-driven decisions. Our objective is to bring together all that innovation in this congress and, above all, to show how it can be practically applied on a farm.”
To this end, the congress will be structured into different vertical forums that will present innovations in field crops, olive cultivation, vegetables and berries, and woody crops, as well as forums dedicated to Agriculture 4.0, regenerative agriculture, irrigation and water systems, biotechnological solutions, Artificial Intelligence, and robotics and automation. In addition, there will be exclusive agendas focused on different professional profiles such as farm owners, agronomists, cooperatives, agricultural technicians, and young farmers.
Synergies and high-level networking
As in previous years, Expo AgriTech will once again host a range of parallel activities to foster high-quality synergies and networking. The expo will host a new edition of the AgriTech Innovation Awards 2026, the industry’s most prestigious awards recognizing the companies leading the modernization of farming, as well as the renowned AgriTech Startup Forum competition, which will connect the most disruptive agri-tech startups with investors and potential partners.
Moreover, Malaga will again host the Farmer Vest Awards, the “Michelin Stars of Agriculture”, which will highlight Spain’s top agricultural professionals who are embracing innovation, sustainability, and technology on their farms. Additionally, this year, as a novelty, ASAJA will hold its 2026 Young Farmer Awards within the fair.
