The Contract Logistics unit of TIBA has opened its new APQ warehouse in Valencia. Thanks to this stronghold in specialized logistics, the company is redefining security in the custody of critical goods through an infrastructure designed to manage risk with cutting-edge technology.
Strategically located near the main logistics corridors of Valencia, the center spans 5,500 m² where security is not an added value but the very foundation of the operation. The warehouse has been designed around the concept of “structural containment,” functioning as a large containment cube that prevents any incidental spills from reaching the sewer system or the exterior, meeting the highest quality standards.
This physical security is complemented by an advanced engineering methodology called the performance study. This analysis uses modern fire and evacuation simulation software to assess human and structural safety based on specific objectives and targets, guaranteeing an immediate response to any emergency. Complementing this technology, the facility features early detection systems and extinguishing options such as foam or sprinklers, as well as a 24/7 connection to an alarm-receiving center with on-call response service.
Technology and Customs Services
Compliance with the APQ10 and SEVESO regulations is the core of TIBA Contract Logistics’ offering. According to Maria Jose Gallardo, the company’s technical lead: “The SEVESO classification of the plant implies a higher level of rigor and an active responsibility to protect the community and the surrounding environment. It is not just a label, but an active commitment that TIBA makes to sustainability and safety.”
Beyond physical security, TIBA’s proposition delivers essential legal and operational value by strictly complying with the Chemical Products Storage Regulation (APQ10) and the ADR regulations, which eliminates any risk of penalties for clients and/or partners. For his part, Gerardo Gisbert, TIBA’s operations head, emphasizes: “The primary objective is to ensure that each product is kept under conditions of perfect chemical isolation and segregation.” This operational excellence is backed by advanced administrative management that enables the company to function as a customs warehouse under various regimes such as DA, DDA, LAME, and ADT.
Regulatory Excellence and Operational Commitment
In this regard, the company integrates digital Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) that ensure total traceability of the merchandise. Thus, clients can consult their stock and any movement online in real time. This tool gives customers absolute visibility into their operations, allowing online inquiries of movements and stock with complete accuracy and confidence.
Finally, all these processes are audited to the highest quality standards, supported by quality certifications such as ISO 9001:2015, which guarantee strict control of the risks associated with stored substances and a commitment to excellence in the inbound, storage, and outbound handling of goods.
