Medi-Market Opens Its Fifth Madrid Store in Under a Year

Medi-Market, a Belgian group specializing in parapharmacy, health and wellbeing, continues driving its growth in Spain with the opening of a new store at the Xanadú Shopping Center. With this establishment, the company reaches five stores in Madrid in less than a year, and takes a new step in its national expansion plan, which contemplates eight new openings in the coming months.

Located in one of the premier shopping and leisure destinations in the Community, the new store covers more than 400 m² and will allow the company to strengthen its presence in the southern part of the region, bringing its health, beauty and wellbeing proposition to an even wider audience.

The Xanadú opening marks, furthermore, the start of a new development phase for Medi-Market in Spain. After solidifying its foothold in the market, the company is already working on new sites in different cities across the country, with the aim of continuing to expand its retail network and solidify its position in a growing category, driven by the rising consumer interest in personal care, dermocosmetics and wellbeing.

Spain, a key market in the group’s growth strategy

Spain has established itself as one of Medi-Market’s priority markets, both for the evolution of consumption in health- and wellbeing-related categories and for the favorable reception its model has enjoyed in the country.

The company’s proposition is based on a combination of competitive pricing, broad product assortment and expert guidance, with a catalog that includes categories such as dermocosmetics, nutrition, hygiene, haircare, mother and baby, or natural medicine. In addition, the development of Medi-Daily, its house-brand line, is designed to offer strong value for everyday-use products.
