Timekettle LiveTalk Brings AI Translation to Everyday Earbuds

October 22, 2026

Timekettle has launched “LiveTalk,” an AI-powered interpreter headset that translates conversations, calls, videos, and conferences in real time, and instantly transforms into fully fledged music headphones.

Language barriers rarely come at a convenient moment, and the translation device often ends up tucked away in a drawer right when you need it most. Those who work across borders, travel frequently, or consume content in its original language know this dilemma well: even with a translation device in hand, it’s awkward to switch between everyday headphones and a dedicated device. Timekettle solves this with “LiveTalk”: a pair of open-ear earbuds that are simultaneously a real-time interpreter and high-quality music headphones.

That’s why LiveTalk sits in its own standalone category in Timekettle’s lineup. The earbuds recognize 53 languages and 107 accents, and translate 25 language pairs even offline. They run on Babel OS 3.0, the latest generation of the company’s proprietary translation platform.
Four modes, not a niche

With LiveTalk, translation isn’t a niche feature—it spans four everyday scenarios:

  • Conversation mode: two participants, one pair of earbuds—LiveTalk translates in real time; if desired, both participants can share the earbuds.
  • Listening mode: for talks, guided tours, or conferences, the smartphone records the speaker and the translation is delivered directly to the ear.
  • Calls and video conferences: LiveTalk translates in both directions. The other party does not need to install any additional software.
  • Multimedia mode: streams audio and video content to the smartphone or computer. From online courses to meetings and video broadcasts.

Musical sound quality

What sets the LiveTalk earbuds apart from devices that only serve to translate is the high bar Timekettle sets for sound. Each earbud features an 11 mm dynamic driver with a titanium diaphragm and a high-damping foam edge, delivering crisp highs, controlled lows, and clear reproduction of both voice and music.

Through the Timekettle app you’ll find six EQ presets (Default, Rock, Pop, Classical, Jazz, Country), as well as a freely configurable user profile. When you start one of the translation modes, “LiveTalk” automatically switches to a speech-optimized profile that emphasizes the frequencies key to intelligibility. After all, a Jazz preset isn’t ideal for closing a contract.
6.9 grams per earbud, 35 hours of total battery life.

For all-day use, the brand opts for a lightweight, open design with an over-ear hook: each earbud weighs 6.9 g, and the full system, including the charging case, weighs 74.9 g. According to the manufacturer, the 60 mAh battery in the buds provides up to 8 hours of music playback, while the charging case (500 mAh) extends total life to 35 hours. A quick 10-minute charge yields about 2.5 hours of playback. Connectivity is via Bluetooth 5.3, and the LiveTalk feature lets you connect two devices at once, such as a smartphone and a laptop or tablet, without re-pairing.

Data protection

A translator wearing an earpiece inevitably hears the conversation, even when confidential information is involved. That’s why Timekettle places particular emphasis on data protection: LiveTalk complies with GDPR and FERPA, and transmissions are end-to-end encrypted. Moreover, the content of conversations is not stored or used to train AI models.
