Canon imageFORMULA DR-C360: New Desktop Scanner

September 7, 2026

Canon has unveiled the new imageFORMULA DR-C360, a compact, high-productivity scanner designed specifically for businesses and public sector organizations, as well as regulated industries such as banking, finance, healthcare, and legal services.

This new addition expands the imageFORMULA DR-C300 series introduced last year, delivering greater productivity for business environments that require faster document processing and the digitization of larger volumes of information.

Intuitive design that saves space

Thanks to its ultra-compact, narrow footprint, the imageFORMULA DR-C360 features one of the smallest dimensions in its category. This makes the scanner ideal for space-constrained environments such as branches and remote offices, customer service desks, reception areas, and shared business spaces.

It also includes new usability enhancements, such as a larger display panel and physical buttons that simplify operation. Additionally, its setup is straightforward thanks to the included USB Type-C connectivity. The scanner also ships with Canon’s powerful CaptureOnTouch Pro software, which allows users to quickly digitize paper documents and, moreover, import files and convert them to various formats using smart technologies like optical character recognition (OCR) and barcode recognition.

Fast and flexible scanning of different media

With speeds of up to 120 images per minute and an automatic document feeder (ADF) with a 100-page capacity, the imageFORMULA DR-C360 enables efficient digitization of large document volumes with minimal user intervention.

Flexibility is further extended by the device’s ability to scan directly a range of documents, including passports, without the need for a carrier sheet. These capabilities make the imageFORMULA DR-C360 especially well-suited for sectors such as public administration, financial services, insurance, legal services, and rental and leasing companies, where fast and precise customer identification capture is essential.

Top-tier image quality

The scanner also incorporates advanced image processing technologies, such as Active Threshold and enhanced highlight functions. This enables consistently high-quality scans, improves image sharpness, and reduces the need to rescan documents.

Designed to drive efficiency, the scanner helps organizations reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) thanks to its energy-efficient operation, consuming less power during scanning than other models with comparable features.

Sustainability has also been a consideration in the device’s design. For example, it uses a redesigned roller kit that requires fewer materials and generates less waste than previous versions. Additionally, the packaging is made from reusable and biodegradable materials to help reduce plastic consumption.

New addition to a lineup that covers all needs

The imageFORMULA DR-C360 complements Canon’s current range of compact desktop document scanners, including the imageFORMULA DR-C340 and imageFORMULA DR-C350. Below are the features across the DR-C300 series:

  • The DR-C350 offers scanning speeds of up to 50 ppm, while the DR-C340 offers up to 40 ppm. The DR-C360 is the fastest in the DR-C300 series, delivering up to 60 ppm. Both come with a large 100-page ADF to boost user productivity.
  • The DR-C300 series scanners feature an ultra-slim design with a width of only 283 mm, making them easy to fit into any workspace.
  • All models in the lineup deliver top-tier imaging quality, backed by advanced image processing tools such as Active Threshold, Background Fill, Highlight Enhancement, and Photo Mode Document, enabling more precise processing and reducing the need to re-scan.
  • An intuitive icon-based display and physical buttons keep operation simple and accessible. USB-C connectivity provides easy, bidirectional compatibility with modern laptops and PCs.
  • Both units are compatible with Canon’s CaptureOnTouch Pro software, which delivers powerful document processing and flexible file delivery options—from SharePoint and network folders to cloud applications. Users can scan or import existing files to quickly convert them to multiple formats.
