The need to improve the profitability of farms, optimize resource use, and respond to challenges such as labor shortages, extreme weather events, or evolving regulatory demands is accelerating the search for new solutions for agriculture. In this process, startups have become one of the main drivers of innovation due to their ability to translate technologies such as AI, robotics, sensing, and data analytics into the real needs of farmers and producers.
With the aim of boosting visibility and scalability for these projects, Expo AgriTech 2026, the largest technology fair for agriculture, will host a new edition of the AgriTech Startup Forum, which will take place on November 4 and 5. This competition brings together the most disruptive emerging technology companies offering solutions to improve profitability, sustainability, and efficiency in farming, with the goal of giving them visibility to investors and potential partners.
The AgriTech Startup Forum seeks projects capable of generating an impact on the future of the agri-food industry through cutting-edge solutions based on sensing, IoT, remote sensing, biofertilizers, biosecurity, crop mapping, automation, connectivity, AI & Data, drones, smart irrigation, biotechnology, supply chain, weather monitoring, or disease detection, among others.
The selected startups will be able to present their project, product, or service to a specialized audience in an elevator pitch format. In addition to the opportunity to find partners to help develop their projects, they can become direct candidates for the AgriTech Innovation Awards 2026 or join as exhibitors at the AgriTech Pavilion. Interested companies can submit their proposals by September 30.

However, for an innovation to move from a pilot test to real impact, it must find customers, industrial partners, and funding. The AgriTech Startup Forum is precisely designed to accelerate these connections and bring market-ready technologies closer to the market, technologies that can make a difference in the profitability, efficiency, and sustainability of agriculture.”

Bajo el lema “Transforma tu campo, impulsa tu futuro”, Expo AgriTech 2026 congregará a más de 9,000 agricultores y profesionales, 250 firmas expositoras, 70 startups agritech y 40 fondos de inversión para dar a conocer las innovaciones que están contribuyendo a defining a more competitive Field 4.0. Por ello, su zona expositiva reunirá soluciones en maquinaria agrícola, equipos de siembra y recolección, agricultura de precisión, sistemas inteligentes de riego, tecnología para invernaderos, postcosecha, fertilización, biotecnología, agroenergía, automatización, robótica, teledetección, inteligencia artificial, conectividad y gestión de datos.
La propuesta se completará con el Congreso AgriTech 4.0, donde expertos internacionales compartirán estrategias, tecnologías y casos de éxito relacionados con la productividad, la salud del suelo, la eficiencia hídrica, la sostenibilidad, el relevo generacional y los nuevos modelos productivos. Además de otras actividades que tendrán un papel fundamental en el marco del evento, como los AgriTech Innovation Awards 2026, que distinguirán los proyectos que están liderando la modernización del campo, y los Premios Chaleco Agricultor, considerados los “Estrella Michelin de la Agricultura”, que reconocerán a los profesionales agrícolas que sobresalen por la innovación, la sostenibilidad y el uso de tecnología en sus explotaciones.
