Michael Seiger, born 1963 in Rheine, has become Chief Technology Officer at LYCOS Europe in September 2006. In this position he took over the Europe-wide responsibility for the areas CRM & Billing, Software Architecture, Software Development and IT-Operations. He is also supervising the LYCOS location in Yerevan/Armenia with 200 employees.

 

After finishing his studies of information technologies at universities Passau and Munich he started his career as IT-Consultant with TCManagement in Munich and Berlin. For the past 13 years he then worked for Accenture GmbH (former Andersen Consulting) in Frankfurt and Munich, in his latest position being Senior Manager Communication & High Tech.

 

In his professional career Michael Seiger had the acountability for the realisation of a wide portfolio of complex software development projects for international customers in the software and telecommunications industry. Additionally, he interim led the application development and the application enterprise of an international mobile operator. As account manager he was responsible for the business development in the industrial area communications.

 

In the last years his strategic focus was put on IT-Strategy, Program Management and IT-Service Management; operationally he led especially cost reduction, IT Governance, CRM/Billing and IT-Operations-projects.
